TTC Stories -Part 4

Trying to conceive?Don't ever stop trying again and again despite repeated Negative results.....and mostly importantly?Don't stop living!

I pray that God will hear the cry of women TTC in Jesus name Amen!

I got married in 2014, we were not really actively trying to conceive but by d middle of 2015 and yet nothing, we decided to go for some tests. Abdominal ultrasound showed I had large cysts on both my ovaries and I was diagnosed of endometriosis.

I was not really surprised by the diagnosis cos my periods has always been so painful. Kosi wahala, what is the way forward, they said surgery has to be done to remove the cysts. Late 2015 the surgery was done and in my mind everything is now ok. Little did I know that we are just starting.. Lol

By the middle of 2016 and yet nothing, we went for HSG to check d potency of the tubes(that it was painful was an understatement, I thought I was going to die). That was how we knew that the endometriosis has affected both my tubes so they are no longer patent.

We started planning for IVF, it took all our savings and more ( anything to have kids right). I had to inject myself twice in a day and I took them in good fate, in fact I was happy during that period cos I was so sure it ll work. After the whole follicular tracking, egg retrieval and transfer (3 embryos were transferred) , the 2wks wait started. The wait was even worse than the injection period. On the day I was meant to test, I woke by 12am and it was negative.

I called my doctor that night abi na morning, he told me to go for blood test that urine test is not reliable. Na so I carry my left legs go lab dey wait for them to open, it came out negative. Stella ee, I cried for 1week straight, even in the middle of the night, I was inconsolable even at work , DH was confused on wat to do wt me.. Lol. Take me out oo, I ll stay there and be crying lol. Anyways I decided to live my life to the fullest, have fun, slay and improve myself. I'm due for another cycle of IVF next month, I pray it works.

Having a supportive partner and in-laws made it a lot easier for me ( DH is the best) though that doesn't make it easier when the society and friends decide to treat u like sm1 who is about to die, I just can't with the pity gazing and comments.
I pray for every woman TTC like me, God will do it for us, remember not to loose your self, still live your life as u r TTC.
Sorry for the long read and wrong grammar
Thank you Stella for this medium

  1. Married in 2014, had myomectomy, miscarriage and second cycle of clomid......the issue now is that I am 3days late, negative urine test, apart from slight cramping and very mild breast pain when I wear a bra, no other symptoms of pregnancy.
keeping my fingers crossed! Lord I am all yours! Hallelujah with me.

  5. Awwww I had same issue. Very large mighty cysts. As big as a baby o. I cry in pain when it starts. I sleep in hospital and was told I need surgery. We were 3women that goes for prep talk. So I traveled to Ghana and missed d surgery. While in Ghana I took one root like that, never knew it helps correct menses and I told God I don't want dis cyst. God answered me o after talking the roots I bled thick blood for like 5days. Black cloted blood o. So when I got back for d surgery I went for scan they will use for d procedure. Gbam no more cyst. I mean nothing at all.
As am typing this am pregnant again after having my first last year and am having dis one this year too. No waiting on. I took the root Dec 2015. The Lord answers prayers.

  11. have fun dear. God will do it and it will be the perfect time.
they always tell people the success rate before the whole procedure. tears and all will only increase your stress level. You need to be relaxed and at ease and at peace when you do it again.
May the odds always be in your favour.
