  6. It baffles me Stella.
Thank God I'm not an underprivileged person, but even at that I have always looked for ways to apply myself and spin money by one means or another. I started having mouth in my house even before i finished uni, and I'm the 5th child of 6. So you can imagine how down the ladder i am. But i could say my mind because at some point my dad will call me and be shouting that i dont ask for money. I used to forget that i had parents i could ask for pocket money sef, to a point that the account my dad used to send allowance i turned it to emergency savings. I totally detached myself from that 'daddy must give me' mindset.

So when I see people who are less privileged begging, I'm like: If me wey no get responsibility for house dey fight poverty, dependence and lack with anger, how much more you?

Let me also say something - when they say 'heaven helps those who help themselves' we think its just blabs. But the truth is, some kind of help won't come your way if the helper doesn't see your effort put into that thing. You will get help easier than soemone who is just waiting for manna to fall.
Laziness is terrible sin, and if you dont kill it you can't go nowhere - mental and physical laziness. No one owes you shit, do your part and let God step in.

Also, as a woman you don't have to sleep with a man to assist you. Work hard, upgrade yourself in the society and your immediate environment and see if those same people doing shakara for you won't be offering you assistance to get your attention. As a man, forget those fine girls you can't toast right now. Oga Just go and work hard, deliver results and see if they won't be hoping for your attention. Infact if you're not careful you will be confused.
I've said my own oh 🎤

  7. This example of the guy demanding for a 50k loan should be a topic of discussion on its own and not lump with the act of giving.Alibaba needs to humble himself and realize that it is not his hard work that has brought him thus far but the grace of God.You talk about begging as if you did not beg to be where you are today. The same people that come to you for help have at a time attended your show.A time will come that people will not reckon with you anymore. You think you're wise in your own eyes but have forgotten that you do not know what the future holds. There are people who are genuinely in need of help and if you are in a position to help why not? Must you help because you want to get something in return?A time is coming when the so called celebrities will become irrelevant as people will stop wasting their Hard earned money to attend your shows, watch your movies or buy your music cos really what value does all these things add to us? His publication shows the type of person he is and I have lost the last respect I had for him. Nonsense!

    1. Though you are entitled to your opinion, I sincerely think that you didn't read the article with understanding. Or just maybe, you just don't like the writer, and at such you might not likely appreciate what he meant.
Ali Baba is one of the favourite persons i follow on the Social media. He makes good points, most times.

    2. You are one of the beggar or you condone begging. He work for his money and God bless him. If he didn't do anything, he wouldn't have gotten anything in return. He cant help everybody, he's not Jesus, help yourself and stop bothering people around you
      Rubbish

    3. Alibaba does not need your respect to keep flourishing. Your respect doesn't even hold a drop of water or make his bank account fatter. You think he sat and crossed his legs while things worked out for him. He also worked hard and God crowned his efforts.
It is true that some people like to collect and if you try 2 get them a job, they feel too big but not too big to beg. You better change this your entitlement mentality and work hard and think straight

  8. Anon 12:30.He is not saying one should not be helped but rather we should not encourage laziness. You can give money but you can also advise these people to find a job or help this people find a job.

  9. He is so right. The most annoying part is the way Nigerians feel they are entitled to beg and receive. Most of them that are unemployed feel some job are beneath them. They prefer to beg than be productive with their lives. Someone that is close to me did a lot of dirty job before making it in life because he was focused and saved a lot while doing such job. Today he is comfortable. I don’t encourage laziness. I dislike the way some people beg on social media.
