Man Beaten To A Pulp For Allegedly Beheading Sister Dies In Hospital

A suspect identified simply as Jonah, who was apprehended by youths in Otukpa, Ogbadibo Local Government Area of Benue State on allegation that he beheaded his sister has died in hospital.

The suspect was arrested as he attempted to flee the community. He was then beaten severely by youths, who tied him up. According to the spokesperson for the Benue State Police Command, Mr. Moses Yamu, Jonah died before he could be questioned because of extensive injuries he sustained during the beating.

Yamu said his death made it impossible to determine whether the claim that he beheaded his sister in the heat of an argument was true or not. He was rushed to the hospital after he was captured and beaten. But he died two hours after he arrived the hospital.
