Update On Lovers Found Dead Inside Car -Woman Other Lover Says He Was The Target

The family of Mr. Lukmon Olowu, who was found dead inside his Toyota Corolla car on Sunday, yesterday, said there was no way he could be the lover of the lady found dead with him. Lukmon, 39, married with two kids, was a licensing agent.

According to the family, Lukmon couldn’t have been making love to the woman, identified as Promise, inside his car. Promise was said to be from Cross River State, while her husband, Clement, a commercial bus driver, is from Edo State.

She had a child for Clement.

Lukmon’s family members, said their son was murdered.

Contrarily to earlier stories that Promise and Lukmon lived in the same compound, New Telegraph’s visit yesterday to Ogba proved that Promise and Lukmon lived in different areas.

Lukmon’s younger brother, Idris Olowu, said Lukmon was not into any relationship with Promise.

Idris said: “ On Saturday evening, Lukmon and about six of his friends, went to a birthday party at Obawole, Iju area. After the party, Lukmon used his car to drive many of his friends to their residences, including Promise.

She also attended the birthday. Promise later called and pleaded with Lukmon to take her to her friend’s place around Excellence Hotel, located at Ogba. We understand that she called her husband, telling him that she would spend the night at her friend’s place, before she called and asked Lukmon to drive her there.

“The next thing we heard was that police called us that our brother was dead, that they had found Promise and Lukmon dead inside his car. We heard they were found naked. We all went to the police station to confirm the information.

Before the police drove the car to the station, they took pictures of their dead bodies. We saw a picture of our brother, naked and his two legs raised and placed on the dashboard. While the dead woman was half naked; she was sitting beside him at the front seat.

Her head rested lifelessly on the car seat headrest. “I can swear with my life, that my brother didn’t have anything to do with Promise. He was a responsible man, married with children. He didn’t take alcohol.

I learnt that woman was dating a guy called Femi, Promise’s husband, Clement, had warned the guy several times to stay away from his wife. Even, when the incident happened, the same Femi came to tell us that the trap was meant for him.” Idris further disclosed that Promise lived close to a beer parlour.

It was alleged that many people knew the late woman. Idris further said: “ She called her husband that night, that she would spend the night at a friend’s place. It was not the first time Lukmon had used his car to convey Promise and other people to different places after parties.

The woman always goes to party with youths living in the area because she was a friendly type.” Idris recalled that when they got to the police station on Sunday, Promise husband, Clement, said that the dead person should have been Femi, not Lukmon.

Idris said: “To my surprise, when we got to Area G Police Command, Promise’s husband said that he thought it was Femi that died. Even Femi’s phone was brought out from Promise’s handbag by her husband.”

In a visit to Promise’s house yesterday evening, some of her neighbours said she had no job, but frequent the beer parlour where she used to drink beer.

One of the residents, who does not want her name mentioned, said: “The death of the woman came to every one of us as a surprise. Promise had a child and had a friend at the beer parlour joint. She used to stay at that club with her friend, drinking, whenever her husband was not around. It was at this club that some men, including the one that died with her, met her.”

The resident further said: “There was a day I warned her to stop going to the beer parlour because I had seen a situation where some of the men that came to the joint, would harass women.

That was why I warned her to stay away from the place to avoid what eventually happened now.” When Clement, who wore a T-Shirt and brown trousers was approachd, he snapped: “ No! No! I can’t talk for now.” He crossed to the other side of the road and disappeared.

People in the area said that the house he entered is his grandmother’s apartment. Attempts to speak with Femi failed too. When his phone was called, he picked and when he was told the reason for calling, he cut off and switched off.

Hmmmm this woman's character is very questionable but she still did not deserve death.
I have a feeling the husband probably set a trap for she and the boyfriend. Probably thinking it is even the femi.
I also don't trust the man in question. The brother may say he doesn't cheat. But for me I can't vouch for any man when it comes to toto matter o. Many ppl are living double lives their family knows nothing about. When a man can succesfully hide another family and it's until his death family even know.
Let the autopsy come out and we know the cause of death.
This promise's way as a married woman no pure at all. Seems the husband was fed up. But oga it's better you send a cheating woman packing than giving your self hypertension.
They didn't deserve such death. RIP

And that is how this man died in place of someone else. Oh Lord may we never carry other people's cross for a sin we didn't commit.

Wao...what do I say...

Seems both deceased had a discrete affair or fling.
Family will always cover their own.

All the same, an autopsy need to be carried out to determine if both deceased had sex before their demise, and possible cause of death.

Mr 'carbon monoxide' come and analyse this story again o. You were shouting all over the previous post on this story like a deranged goat, calling your mother a fool just because nobody bought into your theory of what killed them.

Meanwhile, i just knew there was more to this story.

Disjointedly story,I don't know why they won't just say the truth.Femi's phone was brought out of the woman's bag by clement, yet femi was called and he picked but didn't talk to the reporter and hung up.Trying to paint the woman like a wayward person is not the case here. These two people were murdered.police should investigate properly.

is Mr Lukmon a cab driver? what is a responsible husband doing carrying beer parlour women to different locations after parties? what is the relationship between Lukmon and Promise that she will call him on the phone to come drop her off somewhere.?
Is that how they call people's 'responsible' husband ?
Abeg, something is not right in this brother's account

Do you actually think a Nigerian family are going to come out and say their son was shagging someone else's wife. You guys have no sense..

Anonymous said...

Do you actually think the family would agree their son was caught having someone else's wife? If your dad was caught sleeping with another woman and killed for instance, would you not hush it up. Nigerians forget how dumb they are. No family is going to come out and say their son who was married was caught banging another man's widen end of story.

Anonymous said...

As I said, if you got killed shagging your gateman, would they mention it or agree that was the case?????

you know who said...

Anonymous 12:38 you're the senseless one. The issue is some educated morons who chanced upon living abroad where they wash plates & sweep streets & do security kept yelling its not juju, its not murder. as if na dem fes go school.

Fearfear I know what you mean. But there's always that one guy in each circle who does this. Drop people off, call others to ensure they got him good. Especially since they say he doesn't drink, he's the most sober to handle such. Akoba adaba is real people! That's why that stupid abroad based rude goat's comments to iya osho & other dissenting opinions really pissed me off. This shit called jazz is real and happens more often than you can imagine! Near God!

Pictures have now emerged of the incident and can be seen on the naira..... Website. They had their trousers and skirts off. They were clearly shagging. For those saying who has sex on the streets, my question is who also dumps a body on the street in broad daylight? No one saw the time the car got there which means it came there at an unusual time which is perfect for sex. Stella please post the updated picture with blurred out images.

A case of two party drunks who wanted to have a quickie, but got hooked. RIP to the dead. Such a shameful death. Lukmon's brother's attempt at defending his brother failed, it is so inconsistent. If only the living will learn from these kinds of mistakes.
