Beyonce Is 2017's Highest-Paid Woman In Music With $105 Million Pretax

Queen Bey has won this year’s highest-paid woman in music, pulling in a whopping $105 million pretax, according to an annual Forbes list on Monday, edging out Britain's Adele and pop star Taylor Swift.

Lemonade was a hit with both critics and fans, giving BeyoncΓ© her sixth solo No. 1. The R&B singer earned some $105 million from record sales and from her "Formation" concert tour, according to Forbes. She also has her own Ivy Park fashion line and other business interests.

Adele finished second, earning $69 million, boosted by seven-figure nightly grosses on her first proper tour since 2011. Taylor Swift raked in $44 million to claim the No. 3 spot, representing a significant dip from the peak of her 1989 Tour.

Celine Dion ranks fourth with $42 million, resuming a lucrative Las Vegas residency last February after going on hiatus in the wake of her husband’s January 2016 death. Jennifer Lopez rounds out the Top Five with $38 million, also boosted by a standing Sin City gig, as well as new show World of Dance, where she serves as both judge and producer.

The rest of the list proves that age is just a number: 71-year-old Dolly Parton (No. 6, $37 million) still tours with the rigor of stars half her age, grossing mid-six figures per city across 63 dates during our scoring period. Barbra Streisand (No. 10, $30 million) remains a huge draw even at 75, selling $46 million worth of tickets on her 14-show stint last year.

Earning double-digit millions does not guarantee a spot on this vaunted list—as near misses Madonna, Lady Gaga, Selena Gomez and Ariana Grande can attest.

Don't forget it, don't forget it
Respect that
BOW DOWN BITCHES!
LOL,so even after all the Fenty Beauty this, Fenty Beauty that, Work is #1, Wild Thoughts this and that, Rihanna STILL couldn't keep up with the Queen! LOL, and the #Navy wants to compare themselves. Rihanna puts all her music on radio, ITunes, Spotify, Vevo, Tidal, YouTube, etc. so that people will have access to her music. Beyonce doesn't promote her music, doesn't send her music to radio, doesn't put her music on ITunes, Spotify, infact up to now only Formation and Sorry are on YouTube and Beyonce STILL sells over 1 million copies! How many artists do you know who can do that today? Only Beyonce!

Oh dear. Can't the world contain every successful, beautiful woman out there?
Do we need to do this though?
Same thing Cardi's fans are doing to Nicki and I love all these women...
Some win today, others win tomorrow.

Oh please! Learn to respect hard work, no need to put one down for the other. Beyonce is bad, so is Rihanna...both are hard workers

@Pure Nigerian
Rihanna doesn't work half as hard as Beyonce. If you want to know how lazy Rihanna is and how hardworking Beyonce is, go and see them live. I've seen both of them live in concert and if you see the way Beyonce has energy and will sing and dance for hours without forgetting a lyric or missing a beat, and you compare it to Rihanna always lip syncing, panting and out of breath, you will curse yourself for wasting money on Rihanna.
