“The sentence handed down by the Judge – against the recommendation of the Assistant District Attorney and Probation Officer is unjust and heavy handed,” Jay wrote. “We will always stand by and support Meek Mill, both as he attempts to right this wrongful sentence and then in returning to his musical career.”
Meek was sentenced by Philadelphia Common Pleas Judge Genece Brinkley yesterday after he was found to have violated the terms of his probation.
The rapper has been arrested twice this year for misdemeanour assault charges in March and reckless driving and reckless endangerment in August and while the charges for those two arrests have since been dropped, the incidents led to this latest court date to review his probation.
With Meek now set to serve a minimum of two years in prison after the judge cited a failed drug test and a failure to comply with a court order restricting his travel.

ReplyDeleteIt is not "did you advice him?" but did you advise him
DeleteCongrats to him. One added to his ceevee
ReplyDeletestella you dont understand the american justice system so sidon one side as u said
ReplyDeleteWell, according to records and other judgements passed.. I hear his isn't fair.
ReplyDeleteBut hollup, is it cos he is a star? Ordinary people there have been getting heavy judgements too.
I don't understand why Meek won't just be respinsible for his own good.
He was on parole onetime and went to another city for a show, violating hus aprile rules.
Then he goes to harass someone at the airport.
He gets on my last nerves with these shenanigans.
Gucci has been behaving and we all know that one is one week, one trouble.
If these 2years or more will make him better, let him stay there and write songs.
I still hope he gets a better deal though.
Ko kaan mi rara
ReplyDeleteStella I love you but you may want to take it easy on your strong opinion about something you don't understand. Meek being on probation in the first place is part of the unjust system that keeps black men in and out of the courts. 10 years? and for what original crime? They threaten these guys with long jail times and give them a plea of ridiculously long probation knowing that they can catch them at any time in the future for running a red light. How many people can live perfectly for 10 solid years? To be basically a prisoner in your own country. Forget Meek, the system is unjust and JayZ is exactly right
ReplyDeleteThank you anon 17:44
DeleteThe charges that brought him before the judge were dropped but she's getting him on probation violation. Rubbish system
