The Federal Capital Territory Police Command arraigned a housewife, Mrs. Maryam Sanda before an FCT high court Judge for killing of her husband, Bilyamin Bello a son of former People's Democratic Party Chairman....

She was arraigned for offense bordering on culpable homicide. Maryam could not control her emotion as she burst into tears upon her arrival at the court holding her seven month old baby.

Maryam covered her face a with green scarf to prevent being photographed by the media. Before the commencement of the court proceedings, she read from the Quran.

She pleaded not guilty to the two-count charge of homicide
and the court ordered her to be remanded in Suleja Prison custody.

The defense counsel, Hussein Musa asked the court to let the defendant be in the police custody arguing that she is still a nursing mother and would be improper to be remanded in prison custody.

The presiding judge, Yusuf Halilu ruled that suspects be remanded in Suleja prison and the matter has been adjourned to December 7th for further hearing.

    5. I'm sure a lot of women in this country go through hell with their men, Nigerian men were not trained to be compassionate humans, they are all entitled. For the sake of your child and only your child, you should have walked away. You have deprived the child of knowing his father, yet you carry it in warm embrace, the same arms that were used to slaughtered his father. You're not a good mother, cry because you have played a part in destroying your own child don't cry for pity...but God would use that child as a testimony in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

But tears can't undo her crime.
She took a life without thinking of the aftermath.
Wthout even considering that she is going to make her daughter fatherless.
Without regards for members of his family.
She needs to face the consequences.

    1. This woman does not deserve any sympathy because she killed another person for a stupid reason. I'm sure the family of the deceased man are more emotional than she does. She is a cold blooded murderer and she does not deserve any sympathy as far as I'm concerned. This should be a lesson to both women and men that if you feel that your man or woman is cheating on you, please leave as is not worth killing that person and ending your life in jail.

Don't mind the hypocritical fools on this blog. When men are violent to women, they cry murder with no Mercy(rightfully so). Now a she-devil does same and they are sympathising. That's why men will never take women serious. Just read the stupid comments justifying murder of someone's son and father. This is a lady who had shown traits on violence before now. They are justifying her actions fa! May it happen to ur loved ones. Let's see if u will display this nonsense sympathy towards a cold hearted killer. U forget that a mother and father are somewhere mourning the untimely death of their young son. Witches feeling sorry for their fellow member. Such stupidity with women I swear. Tueh!!!

You want to control people's hearts and comments?
Or you have not seen a Judge feeling pity and at the same time sentencing someone to death?

      Ride on Lily.

    5. IPhie & Bloglord, yes I am bitter! Very bitter! Because, a mum and dad just lost a child to a vicious cold hearted murderer. I am bitter because it could happen to anyone including you. I am bitter because u are mothers or prospective mothers who should realise that this woman is trying to elicit public sympathy by holding an innocent baby and reading a Koran, And u are falling for it! How gullible can u be? U don't see that she's doing it on purpose?
I will ask u again, if it were ur sons and I said "i feel for his murderer", what would you think of me??
You are gullible. You are dumb. And this woman has u (and others like u) right where she wants. Next thing she will be given 7 years too because someone 'feels for her'. Insult me all u want. U are pained because the truth tugs at ur clueless hearts. All those insults will be upon ur own heads. Coven of witches.

You have a 6/8 month baby, should that baby not be your priority, breast feeding and taking care of your previous baby. All you are thinking of is picking your husband's phone, biting, breaking bottles and stabbing.
I understand anger of seeing such message. But what happened to slapping him and hiting him with your fist to take out that anger.
How can you stab the man you exchanged vows with, father of your child. How can you even stab any human being for that matter.
Why could she just have slapped him and today he will still be alive and she won't be in this mess.
She's a violent person abeg and she needs help. They should just keep an eye on that baby. Before she harm's herself and the poor baby.

Bed and Roses dear... This might be my 3rd or 4th comment concerning this lady and I have always maintained that she deserves what is coming to her.
We are all not wired same way. I choose to be emotional when I want to be. It doesn't make her any less guilty or make me a supporter of a murderer.
No life should be taken for any reason.. That has always been my stand.
But watching this video just made me further know that after the anger.. comes the realization that you will eventually regret your actions.
This is exactly how I will still feel if this was a man weeping and praying with a baby on his lap.

  17. She should have known better. Anger and violence never ends well. I feel so sad for the baby, having to loose her mother to jail would be terrible. Child would hate her in the future. The Qur'an and pity party won't save her now. She should have picked it up other than picking a knife. But I'm wondering how she overpowered the man though, as to kill him. She must be very violent, meaning the baby isnt even safe witn her.

No cheating man is worth spending the rest of your life in jail for. It's not worth it.
I know a married woman that went to confront a young lady on the street dating her hubby. In the tussle she removed her high heels and hit the lady of the head. The lady ended up dieing.
She went to prison for about 10yrs by the time she came out the man had remarried. All their kids were grown.
Till today her life is not today. This was a beautiful career woman working in Nigerian breweries. Is any man worth you destroying your life and that of your kids?

If it were a man, u would be spitting fire but because she's female carrying a baby and shedding tears, u are sympathising with her. Don't u know that that is the whole idea?? They do so when caught so as to cause sympathy! Why do u think she is holding her child when someone could do it? Why do u think she's holding a Koran? So that gullible ppl like u will 'feel for her' including the judge. And u dumb skulls are falling for it. Irritating fish brains. May it happen to ur loved ones then we'll wait for u to sympathise. If she's found guilty should serve the time to serve as deterrent as this is a growing trend in the north. Few days ago another one in Zamfara broke bottle and stabbed her husband, I heard he's fighting for his life. So many unreported cases of this nature go unnoticed as the victims' families leave it for Allah to judge.
