Robert Mugabe Makes First Public Appearance Since 'Military Coup' In Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe’s President Robert Mugabe has attended a public engagement for the first time since the military takeover.
Despite a full but ‘bloodless’ military coup, Mugabe has refused to step down.

His first public appearance after being put under house arrest is at a university graduation ceremony on the outskirts of Harare. Clad in academic gown and hat, Mugabe, 93, walked slowly in a procession on a red carpet to a podium as a marching band played. Several thousand graduates of the Zimbabwe Open University and guests stood as Mugabe and other dignitaries entered a tent set up for the event.

Once on the podium, Mugabe joined in with the crowd as they started singing Zimbabwe’s national anthem. He announced the opening of the graduation ceremony, and the crowd applauded.

Mugabe’s presidential security detail was present through the appearance.

*WOW he refused to step down?lol.

I can never applaud a military coup whether 'bloodful' or bloodless, it sets a bad precedent. The military belong in the barracks not on the seat of power.
I understand that Zimbabweans might not really have a better option, still they should dig in and come up with something that will help their country and her citizens be great again, if not they will end up replacing a bad situation with a 'badder' one.
I have no love for Mugabe only respect as an oldman.
How people misuse opportunity beats me, especially when you have more and more opportunities to correct your mistakes.

I don't know why I think the military intervention came from Mugabe himself. I just have a feeling he's the mastermind. I like him for some weird reason.
