The Appreciative Husband

In this post I want all the men who read this Blog to quietly come in.......We need to know how you see this action!

IF not before, say should say thank you after the first bite hits your mouth..It makes a woman feel good about cooking for you...

If you are a man and you do not say thank you to her after or before the meal, then it is wrong!...CHANGE YOUR WAYS!

My two cents..Please feel free to disagree!

    1. Yes, respect is reciprocal. If you are mannered it shows in everything you do. In my house my husband after eating days "Thank you" to everywhere including my youngest kid. I do the same and my kids say "Thank you" to each other as well. It is the Norm in my house. Then on being appreciative, my husband appreciate every little thing I do and that makes me to do more. He brags infront of everyone that his wife does so many things. It encourages me to improve and our kids are learning. It is all about respect, appreciation and good education for the kids.

  3. Should this even be a topic of discourse?
Even after my dad is done with his meal, he says thank you to his daughter, how much more his wife?
It's courtesy. Even if your gateman gives you food, say thank you.
I go to an eatery, I thank the waiter after his or her service.
If you're served a meal and you don't say thank you,it has nothing to do with your gender but everything with morals.

    3. It has become a norm for me...sometimes I give u something and tell u thank you. Sometimes I say to myself who does that. But it's part of me.i get angry wen u give someone something and the person can't say thank you, some will collect it like it's their birthright. Respect, courtesy is everything in this life. Learn it

    2. Lol... Ola Wealth leave that stuff alone. If it's about cooking, the women that make delicious foods everytime shouldn't get cheated on

The best thing is to just do you... I can't be cooking for a man all the time, I cook like twice in three months (no jokes) so long as its convenient for me... And I cook, not because I'm cooking for him but because I'm also hungry and I feel like eating my own food else, we'll go out to eat

I'm not about to make sacrifices for someone especially when I'm not married to him!

  6. Hubby tells me thank u asam... hes away for work half of d month so he really appreciates a good meal when he eats one. By the way i think its simple courtesy to say thank you to whoever prepared u a meal even if u paid for it. I do. Even when i eat out. I dont see any big deal in it. Courtesy demands it.

    1. Lol. Nothing sexy. It's just courtesy. Hubby says thank you when he is done. I say same too. When I make his favorite, he praises me before eating. When I make an exceptionally delicious food that even shocks me, after the first bite, the praises and thank you start.

On those days when the devil puts hands in my cooking and the salt or spice comes out too much like when I fry plantain, he eats eat looking at me and mockingly praising me. He still says thank you

      So it's courtsey

Simply enjoy doing it when I have the time.
Isn't that more than a "thank you?"
These days there are no "man or woman work" in the house
    apart from pregnancy
If you love each other, you will suffice for each other.

    1. Women, what will you people not ask for. You desire virtually everything in heaven and on earth.
I just pity for a lot of you looking for an ordinary thank you from a man that paid your bride price.... what were you expecting to do in his house again? God really needs to help the men.

These Ladies struggle, pray, cry, fast and go for a lot of church deliverance with a view to getting a husband, only to later treat him with levity. When a smart girl takes over now, you cry Witch cry.

  25. Stella I support on this... this shouldn't even be an issue,I mean I was taught to say thank you whenever people do me favours.

Telling your wife thank you after a meal is not a duty or responsibility but courtesy demands you say it, it's not like saying thank you takes anything away from you.

Anyway boo is a guru at saying thank you it makes me wanna do more. It just feels sweet.

  26. Stella dear, there is nothing to disagree here.
Why won't they(the men) say thank you before or after meal?
