Emir of Katagum, Alhaji Kabir Umar Dies At 89

Alhaji Kabir Umar, the Emir of Katagum Emirate in Bauchi State, has died at 89.
The late monarch, who died on Saturday night after a protracted illness of five years, is survived by 49 children.

This was announced Saturday night in a statement by the state governor, Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar


The funeral prayer and interment of the remains of the late royal father will hold tomorrow (Sunday) at his palace in Azare at 11:00 am


Governor‎ Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar and other prominent government officials are expected to be in attendance.
