Bride Sues Designer Rikatobyme For Giving Out Her Red Dress To Actress Mercy Aigbe For Birthday Photoshoot

The aggrieved bride, Lawrentta Adesuwa Sawyer, whose post went viral a few weeks ago, when she called out designer, Maryam Elisha, for giving her wedding reception dress to Nollywood Actress Mercy Aigbe to use for her 40th birthday photoshoot, has now sued and demands compensation within 7 days.

*Mercy Aigbe is yet to sue ...Hmmmmm
At this point i feel so sorry for the designer...

    1. Nice. When she compensate with a huge sum, she will go back to Mercy and recoup her losses, if they are patners in crime.
      The story never end.

    2. I feel for all of them involved. One silly mistake can ruin a lot. The designer should just close this case by compensating her quietly without argument.

    1. Only if she apologized on time and sincerely not bringing up stupid excuses, ahh it's good to be humble. That's how one whitie hit my brother with her Range Rover in the abroad and instead of apologizing was shouting on him for not looking properly before crossing (with his kids o) only for the police to get involved and watched the tape as evidence and found out she was texting while driving and she dint even have a license... only if she apologized.
Over to the designer, you will pay for your evil deed as well as your pride

  4. I don't feel sorry for the designer one bit, but I also think the bride doesn't have a forgiving spirit.

You've gotten married and is happy abi? So why do this?

    1. You see the very act of expecting people to forgive you when you mess up consciously is a manipulative trick that alot of tailors have mastered.

Chi exotic standing up for yourself doesn't mean you have an unforgiving spirit it only means that you won't allow Bullshit on your parade☺

    2. Someone has to do something that will serve as a deterrent to others. It's not about forgiveness

    3. Chi, not that. It's bcos of such sentiments that make people like this designer still continue in such act. It's better she is sued to teach her and others a lesson.

    5. That's the problem with Nigerians, it's not about forgiving spirit, it's about it not repeating itself again. If she doesn't sue, Maryam and other fame hungry designers will still do it again. Besides the designer lies big time and gave a half hearted apology. She was more sorry for dragging Mercy's name in the mud than ruining the bride's big day. It's not about forgiving my dear.

    6. This is why Nigeria is backward. Which one is forgiving spirit again? If she wants to sue let her sue.

If it were America now we'll be hailing the bride for doing the right thing. As na naija so we must use emotional blackmail.

If she wants to sue her for everything she has she should go ahead. Alot of Nigerians are misbehaving because of this "forgiving spirit"

    7. She should move on and leave her to God.

    8. How can u forgive someone that's not sincerely sorry? besides, being sorry doesn't mean she will not face the consequences of her actions

    9. Justice isn't an "unforgiving spirit ". Justice is freedom. You can forgive your opponent does not in anyway negate justice.

    10. It's not about forgiveness please.
      Someone had to do this.
A clear case of everyday for the thief...
God has mapped this day for her judgement that's why things are turning this way. If he hadn't, this matter would have died a natural death. Therefore, let her face it

    11. This is not about unforgiving spirit @ Chi.
Someone needs to put a fullstop to the fuckery of Rika.

A lot of people came out to narrate virtually same painful experience she meted out to them in time past.

I am sure she has been apologising but did she change? No! She kept on hurting and dissappointing people. She was never repentant just lip service apology.

This move by Retty will humble her and make her truly repentant of such.

It was Retty's big day. A day it's memory will last a lifetime.
      So You see? Well served.

    13. Chi exotic what type of forgiving spirit are you talking about? Let's break it down. You are planning your wedding- your dream wedding, you sourced for money to purchase a befitting material for your reception. At this point your beautiful wedding is already playing out in your head. Then all of a sudden, one hungry/greedy person in form of a designer messes that up totally. And not just the messing up, did you read what transpired? All the lies and cunningness that played out? That shows that it wasn't just a mistake. For some reason the designer must have thought the celeb was more deserving of the fabric/dress. A thought that she had no right thinking. Hence she let her greed take the best of here thereby messing up a bride's beautiful day. Now tell me, would you be willing to forgive? And then she had the audacity to give you a tattered old dress that can not be compared to your dress in any way. Would you forgive? To me, I would demand justice. If I were the bride, I will sue her for whatever she is worth and she won't be able to rise fast enough.

  12. Way to go girl. Let her pay through her teeth, next time she won't try such wickedness.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Correct bride! You don't go about treating someone wrongly and expect no consequences.

The problem with many people is that they intentionally hurt others, hurl a wishy-washy apology and expect all the pains they caused to go away. No! It doesn't cut it.

No one can try this in saner climes. I support this 100%.

  14. No am not feeling for the designer, she wasn't remorseful at first

    ReplyDelete
  15. This shouldn't be a court case, since the other party has apologised

  18. Good for the designer. This is not her first time of doing this to her clients.

  19. Good, now other designers won't try this nonsense

  20. Feel sorry for who exactly? Mtchew! She's obviously one of the uncouth CEOs. She committed the crime. She should pay for it. Seeing that she evidently was accustomed to defrauding her unsuspecting clientele. It is unfair. Her case with this bride opened her can of worms.
Mercy should follow suit and she her ass. Enough is enough. Other designers and CEOs should take a cue from this. Stop defrauding people. Everyday for the thief, one day for the owner. This is the owner'sday.

  21. So all these while, the designer never compensated her? Are u kidding me? She didnt have to let it get to this; she should've refunded the bride plus extra ontop for damages. So she didn't do all that? Even for the sake of damage control? It's either she's dumb or truly unremorseful. Or both.
I am really happy with this development though, it will help teach service providers to sit up. Customer service is too bad in this country.

  22. Dear Bride, I love you.

She has to compensate you for your emotional turmoil and financial loss.

  23. This is very good. Hit them in the pocket. All these people starting businesses with no ethics not knowledge of consequences for bad practices. This is great news.

  24. Very good move........

People need to start standing up for themselves.......

No pity for the designer at all and I really hope the bride doesn't withdraw this case outta pressure or 'World people's talk'

  25. Way to go girl, she only apologised to mercy, and she did one apology to the bride and ended up saying, the bride wasn't picking her calls and also went ahead to share chats between them,is that one apology?
    Sue her a$$.
