Tinubu And Akande's Visit To Buhari Had Nothing To Do With Obasanjo's Letter

National leader of All Progressive Congress (APC) Bola Tinubu says his visit to President Buhari was nothing out of the ordinary.

Tinubu was at the presidential villa on Tuesday alongside former Interim national chairman, Bisi Akande.

The duo, however, left the presidential villa without speaking to State House Correspondents.

In a terse statement, Tinubu’s spokesman, Tunde Rahman, explained that the visit to Buhari was scheduled last week.

“President Buhari periodically schedules talks with Asiwaju Tinubu and Baba Akande, as he does with other Nigerians and APC figures, to discuss substantive issues pertaining to the governance of the country and matters concerning the party”, it said.

“This visit was one such meeting. As such, the meeting had nothing to do with the statement of former President Obasanjo.

“It is totally unconnected. At the time of the meeting, Asiwaju Tinubu and Baba Akande were even unaware that President Obasanjo had released his statement.”

The APC chieftains arrived the villa at 3:50pm and left at about 5:00pm.

  2. It's sad that Buhari is not talking about reviving Nigerian Airways. He's not even talking about social welfare, improved education system, good roads, fulani terrorists, massive unemployment.
Rather, he's busy strategizing on how to continue inflicting more pains on poor Nigerians.
How does he sleep at night knowing that he's a disgrace to his family, friends and countrymen?
