SINGLES MINGLES SUCCESS STORY......OMG OMG OMG OMG

Hello Stella,
Your good works speaks for itself. And I know you can't help all, nor satisfy everybody's wish but you doing well. Kindly post this on IHN.

I just want to attest to the success of Single and Mingle. From the 1st edition, I met a guy who wanted just friends likewise me. We lost contact and yet reconnected through a subsequent S/M some months apart. From what I knew of him from earlier, I realize he needed help.

So I set out just to help without an ulterior motive, God is my witness. I gave him so money to sort out his personal problem - more like I sowed a seed. Cause I applied for a nursing job in one big hospital in the US then. I was looking unto God for that miracle job.

Whenever I prayed about it a revelation of sowing a seed always come up. That partly prompted my action. And I sowed it in his life. It was something substantial. I got the job the that same week.

All this while my s/m friend didn't know I reside outside. I told him I was in Abuja, since he was in Lagos. On one of my visits, I met him. He was a squatter: things were tough for him. But he was hard working. So I helped him some more. But one thing I didn't pay attention to, until later.

Then I had helped him out financially more than 5times. Was that, everytime I gave him something without condition, within that period something good happens in my life. And with condition (I gave a loan twice which he repaid), I often lose something personal. Due to his sincerity (some thing I was sceptical about at the beginning, because at times my mind played tricks on me: not being able to reach him, sounds of kids crying or playing in the background). I started having feelings for him (feelings kwa?).

I didn't like that and always rebuke it, because as much as he is likable, he was also the sum total of the opposite of what I wanted in a man. I'm the youngest of my siblings, 24yrs then and no marriage pressure whatsoever.

To cut the long story short, today I'm his wife. And he has been such an immeasurable blessing to me. He wasn't anything I wanted but he is all that I needed. I remember when I told him my actual base. He cut me off. Then my feelings for him had heightened naturally. So I told him I liked him (I'm not ashamed I did).

At that point that I started questioning my motive for always coming to his aid, he doesn't ask (except the 3rd time), But I sense he needed assisting.
We got back somehow. I needed someone to do something for me. Someone I could rely on. Who else but him? He is that resourceful. Then rest is history. We have one son and another is on it way, lol.

One thing singles mingles needs is patience without an ulterior motive. Most importantly, sometimes we are too much in a hurry to discard individuals and move on. With a self-deceiving belief that we did try and it didn't happen or work out. When in truth we never believed something good can come out of perseverance. That it worked for this way for me,doesn't it will work for you. But a rich idea is worth giving a try selflessly.

One of my husbands cousin found her boo here too. Their wedding will be coming up later in the year.

Thanks again for this arena.  We might not be admitting to this as frequent as it should be. But many have been blessed through this platform. Keep doing the good, regardless who might be taking advantage of what. Eventually we all get our rewards.

That little post you enabled, might just be the only hope a drowning individual might have to breath. Don't let the insignificant bitter few dissuade the lifeline you could oblige the helpless. Thanks and thanks.

Bv Grace White

Hmmmmmm, this mail gave me Joy!!!...Thank you so much Grace and congratulations.

HOW 10k GREW INTO N100k BY BV WHO INVESTED IT

Goodevening MA. I read some comments where some people here were doubting it when Stella posted my mail on how I started my business with 8500, I will like to share with you how, maybe one or two people can pick something from it

I started first with jewelries, I bought earings and chains, first I went to meet an elderly woman who was selling this stuff, because I don't n want to buy the ones that will fade immediately, she introduced me to her suppliers, I bought  cheap but a little bit durable ,each @500,my money was able to purchase more than 17,cos there are some that are cheaper, and I resell atleast 800 each, at times 1k set, it depends ,so calculate the gain on 17pcs, I tell you I sold everything within one week, I started from my neighbors, then I made friends with the two hairdressers in my area..

Whenever I see customers there I will go and market my thing, one of them sees the way her customers buy things from me, the next thing I see is that this lady started selling jewelry and undies, well it's a free world, my mouth is my will power, even if you don't want to buy, I will sweet talk you until you buy, there are days I see 2000 or more as gain, cos I'm always on the move, I usually buy pants @150 per 1 and resell at 250,top bra same price, tight is 300 I resell at 500.my plan is to add boxers and singlet for men ...

On how I feed, I'm staying with my sister, we cook at night, so I buy food in daytime, but I caution myself not to spend more than 300 in a day, there are days I will need to take transportation to go and meet customer, I will stylishly add my transport fare to the price, at times i will be lucky, at times they will price it seriously, but thank goodness, I'm not at the same level I started, neighbors  no longer keep keys with me,before I used to put all my kaya in my bag  to sell, but now the ministry has moved, I'm now carrying Ghana must go..

LMAO @now carrying Ghana must go...this really cracked me up...thank you these selling tips...

Doubting thomas' are welcome to doubt but the wise will pick something from these tips.

  1. Hello Everyone, posted this on SP, not sure which of Stella's pot it entered ๐Ÿ˜‚....

I want to know your take on Asoebi/Bridal dresses.
Do you think it's right to turn it to a profit making thing. Like the bride/family making money from it or should they sell it as it was bought or even give a discount...?
During my sister's wedding, we gave it out for way less than we got it and for the adults, we gave them the scarf "almost free"... (they used just scarfs on their laces) pls don't ask what "almost" is ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚.

So, in the last week, I was doing a survey with a friend and she went "don't forget to put you profit when you are selling it oh".... I ddnt get it at first then she said, include your transport, your stress Etc ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚.
I asked her whose wedding it was and who was meant to do the those things?
Maybe I have this mentality cos I'm here in the North where some rich families just give out asoebi for free or maybe I'm not just observant enough to know that people add their profit or maybe cos I'm an Amateur In this party lifestyle but yh, I've always been of the opinion that its your celebration, your friends come all the way (money is involved), they get you gifts, some accommodate themselves and other expenses, many even sacrifice for this asoebi and May not use it again (especially bridal train), if you can't give them for free, don't use them for business....

Pls, what's your take? Am I just being Naive ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚. Lol

Those dresses are lovely.. . The shoe too. God bless the givers.

What a lovely single and mingle story. Bottom line is we find love in the strangest places. Some guys would take advantage of you And even come back here to mock you.... Well, once your mind is at peace with what you doing, do it. God keep you both ๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ˜˜

Shout out to you Nadine. I miss you... kisses to your kids ๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ˜˜

Hello Chikito, How you doing? Pls, can I lick your ass for a bit ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚.. have a lovely day darling ๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ˜˜

Oh, today is the service of songs in respect to those kids that lost their Parents.... whenever I think of it, the song "IT IS WELL WITH MY SOUL" pops to my mind. It might not make sense to the kids now but I pray some day the understand every word in that song...

Kisses to everyone. God bless your day

    3. Depends on individual... I gave out my trad asoebi free but sold out my white wedding own though I didn't make much gain sha but accumulated gbese till today.

      Delete
    4. It is wrong but most people do it to raise fund for the wedding.

On the other hand, wedding is not by force. If you can't afford something elaborate, do parlour wedding.

Some will buy very cheap fabric and triple the price.

I didn't do asoebi because I didn't have strength for it. I also didn't have a bridal train. Just a CBM.

      Delete
    5. I hope to be able to afford to give my bridesmaid dresses for free. Two of my friends did that.

But I think it's better to sell as bought if u must sell

    6. They use it to raise funding for the wedding. It's another way for them to make money though.

    7. If you can't dash asoebi, just give out your colour code let everyone wear what they have.

    9. This thing is really annoying. Let me give u guys a gist...
One of my friends wanted to get married and went shopping for the aso ebi. She got confused along the line and told someone about it and the person offered to help her out. The lady went to look for a fine lace and told my friend the price she got it. My friend in turn asked us if we liked the lace and we affirmed it, so she gave us a price which was quite expensive but because she is our friend,we didn't mind. I felt the lace was too expensive but I had no choice,I had to support her so I bought it. The tailor that made the dress charged so much but I just felt I was doing it for my friend as I am not a lace person.
Trouble started when she couldn't get more supppies from the lady. She went to the market herself and discovered that the lace was like 3k cheaper than the price the lady gave her(meanwhile, she told my friend that she added just 500).when I heard the real price of the lace,I was so mad at my friend cos she added like 4k extra, making it 7k. I felt she was heartless for ripping us off. This was a wedding that we had to travel out of base for. Sad part is after spending so much on the dress, I couldn't wear it anymore after spending the wedding.

  8. Hello guys, sorry for posting this late. It was a Monday morning so you don't expect me to stay at home and wait for aproko, LOL.

Anyways, just got back home to hear that I missed a huge drama.

My neighbor ran out of patience and started knocking but his wife refused to open.

At about 1:00pm, two of her brothers drove in in a 190 Mercedez Benz. At this time, the husband was enraged and made a phone call to his police friends.

The brothers knocked and their sister opened but just as her boyfriend was going to sneak out, hubby stopped him and fight started.

Punches were flying here and there when wifey stepped in to separate them so one of hubby's punch caught her in the face. Her brothers then got angry and started beating hubby up. I'm hearing he even bled from his nose.

After the fight, just as they where about to take their sister away in their car, the policemen hubby called landed and the story changed.

Hubby was seriously bleeding so this was enough evidence for the police to arrest wifey's brothers. The boyfriend was also arrested on hubby's request and hubby has sworn to spend his last kobo to deal with them.

Our yeye gateman, while telling my wife how wicked the woman is, told her that hubby is even sponsoring one of her younger brother's education in Ghana.

The matter has turned into a serious police case as hubby was loudly heard claiming that wifey and her boyfriend stole N6million from his bedroom.

In as much as it's a funny scenario, I seriously do feel for the man; catches his wife cheating and gets seriously beaten up by his wife's brothers.

  30. I just rolled my eyes at the foolishness of the doubting thomases who didn't believe that she can have that capital base with the amount she started with.
I have a lady that sells moi moi to me in the office. A plate goes for 100 with an egg or a piece of fish depending on what you want.
I asked her one day if she won't enter another biz and she asked me why when she makes so much from selling moimoi.
She now did a quick maths for me... her big white transparent plastic container holds up to 70 plates of moimoi and she sells everything at the end of each day ie 7k sales daily. Leave the house 8am and by 3pm is through. Goes home and starts her frying of akara, potatoes, plantains and fish with pepper sauce with agege bread at her street Junction for school kids/ workers coming home at night and closes at 9pm. Soaks her beans for moimoi the following day and goes to bed, wakes by 5am and by 8am hits the road. She makes so much compared to how much she invests.
What am I saying? Little drops of water DO makes a mighty ocean. Continue laughing and disbelieving while she keeps expanding her business. Make una no learn from her tips

    2. Exactly people think you need to start a business with so much. Sometimes when the business you want to start is capital intensive, then do another business until you make money.

See on that money post, I didn't see what Olivia or lady bug said wrong. You can sit down and hope for someone to rescue you when you can start little by little to build up. Sell something. Sell anything. There are a lot of things to sell. If you go to balogun, you will be confused because with as little as 20k,uou can buy things and start selling.

      Don't wait for that 100k or 200k
Start small and grow. Besides, people rather help existing business than start ups.

    2. Hi Fab Momma....how are you this afternoon?

Tomato paste ke... I have seen someone adding about two fresh tomatoes, tasted it...no difference.

I am not a fan of EguSI soup too... I haven't even eaten it in over 6months and counting.

      Delete
    3. You need to try it. It's a yoruba thing I think but I learnt it from my Edo friend cos her Egusi soup tasted better than any other Egusi soup I had ever eaten.

I asked her to tell me how she does it and I've been cooking egusi with tomatoes since I got here. Actually tastes better than without.

Don't do the yoruba way tho, fry the tomato paste in red oil before adding the egusi. Thank me later.

    4. Bee10, same thought I had when she was ming the food. She has finished eating shampoo and I didn't eat ๐Ÿ˜. The boys are fine. How are you doing?? How's kano?? I envy you guys. I miss harmattan.

Beloved, fresh tomatoes?? Wow, that's another one. I also don't like egusi soup. So adding the paste just made it seem offffff

Ekayjoy, really?? Taste nice?? She's yoruba so I guess that's how they make it. It will take a lot for me to try it o. Won't it have that tomato kind of taste ni??

  44. On a certain day in the year 2011, I was on my way to Benin (home) from school(Ekpoma) when a car started to horn behind me and seriously seeking my attention. I looked back and the car wasn't familiar so I ignored and continued to treck down the road until a voice I could recognize slowly called out my name. I bet u can imagine how I felt after all the u are not my type kind of attitude I gave only to realize it was my very close pal who then recently packed out of my hostel. We both started laughing as he offered to drop me off at the park. I was so happy and grateful as I hopped in. U have just saved me some change and the stress of trecking and flying okada under the scorching sun with a ride in chilling air conditioned car I said out loud. But come o, whose car is this? And he replied it was his. In shock I asked again, how? And he said "na god" finally we arrived at the park and I ignorantly thanked him again.
That day I started bleeding and thought it was normal until a Week became two and before I knew it I was counting months. Trust me only those who have experienced something similar would understand what I went through. I sought medical help and I was given one prescription after another with full assurance from my doctor (Dr Iyalome) that each one was going to be the last. U can Imagine my frustration after they all failed with my condition getting worse instead. After about four months of non stop bleeding, a few of us in my hostel were gathered in the room of my senior colleague and friend Oluwafemi Ajibodu Samuel(thanks for always having my back consciously and unconsciously) discussing about the trending yahoo business when he mentioned that some of these guys keep calabash under their front seats and go hunting for girls that any girl who sits down there starts to bleed and that becomes the source of their money. I was taken over by fear as I remembered entering the vehicle of someone whose source of sudden wealth I knew nothing about and also that my bleeding started on that same day. I quickly ran into my room as I poured out my heart to GOD in tears. I threw away every last one of the drugs I was taking and I embarked on a 3 days fasting and prayers. Before the end of the third day I received my healing to the glory of GOD.
I felt the need to share my testimony because I was too happy to keep it all to myself so started telling people especially girls about my experience. I told my story in little gatherings as well as in public buses and today I feel the need share it on a bigger platform so as to reach out to more people.
Just two days ago my brother came visitng and he told me how a guy picked up a girl in his car and the girl's phone dropped under the seat, aginst the guy's wish the girl bent down to pick her phone even after the guy had asked her to forget the phone that he was going to give her 500k to get a new one only for her to find blood dropping into a container right under where she was sitted. She attracted the attention of passers-by and luckily for her they got to a police check point. After torturing the guy he confessed the blood was the girl's and that she was going to die eventually. This got me thinking about a supposed friend's intention to kill me for money.
We have these wicked friends and siblings all around us and rather than condemn what they do, we shower praises on them because of greed and quest to share from their ill gotten wealth. Everyday we hear news and we see pictures of bodies that are headless with some other parts removed and I think it is time we start to openly condemn the activities of these evil doers that go by the name "yahoo boys"
My name is EKEUTOMIYE PERPETUAL i and I am a survivor of ritual(yahoo+) attack.
    Feel free to share
