  6. Why do people insist on undermining rich people's kids by saying they wouldn't be where they are if not for their parents' support? It reeks of jealousy and intellectual dishonesty.

The difference between many of you and your mates in the village is the homes you were born in. Many of those people would do better than you if they were in your own shoes. Learn to celebrate people doing honest work and keep it moving.

It's a strange world where Roman, a renowned olosho is getting more praise for her lifestyle that Cuppy. It's just silly. Nobody asked your fathers to be broke and unknown.

    1. Because to a degree there is some truth. How is Cuppy getting these high profile gigs? Do you truly think in her specific case she has a talent that has outshined all others in Africa? In her specific case her father's influence has helped tremendously. Is that to say she is not good or will not be great? No. But doors have opened for her at influential events that otherwise she would not have gotten except for her family name, especially when she is a woman, and being a dj is seen as a man thing. Interestingly, the big time dj'ing global parties she cannot get on, but any big event in Africa she is there. Why isn't she tearing up Vegas or Ibiza? At the end of the day, there is absolutely nothing wrong with parents helping their children.

    2. Doesn't matter really. I'm sure you got admission into uni ahead of some people who scored higher than you, some if these people couldn't afford to runs their admission or coukdnt pay acceptance fees. Do you feel you don't deserve your degree or your job? Whether Cuppy is mediocre or not, she, at least, has some competence. She doesn't have to be the best at DJing. Are you the best in your field? Aren't there unemployed First class graduates who have no connection? Life is what it is and Cuppy is lucky. Period.

How do we know she isn't running for Vegas or Ibiza? Even the DJs who play at these places still have their detractors. It is what it is. Enjoy your life make Cuppy enjoy her own.

  8. Abeg not everyone speaking the truth is a hater. She is not that good at what she does and her father's money paaaved the way for her if the truth be told. I don't envy her as it is her luck to be born into a wealthy family but without her dad's money she would never be where she is today

    1. Don't mind them, they think if you speak the truth you are envious or desire bad for the person. The truth will still stand a hundred years from now. Cuppy cannot even be compared to Anderson Cooper whose mother is a Vanderbilt, he created his own legacy with nobody knowing his family history until well after he had become a household name. Nothing is wrong with this girl riding on her family's name, but let us not act stupid like we do not know how she lands these influential African gigs, but do not land the same heavyweight gigs on other continents.
