The official residence located in highbrow Maitama District of Abuja, was invaded by about 10 security agents believed to be officials of the Department of State Security.
The operatives were said to have been there to evict the ambassador who was in Chad before his redeployment back to Abuja to head the agency. The agency was recently embroiled in leadership crisis after the current DG Dr Abubakar Rufa’i appiontment by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Dauda last month appeared before the House of Representatives Committee on Public Safety over $44 million missing from the NIA.
