    3. Good morning Stella and BVs.
Something happened yesterday morning in my compound. Yesterday was mothering Sunday, so dis married neighbour of mine was rushing to drop his mum @ the church cos she was supposed to read the first lesson so she didn't want to be late. So he quickly told the wife( who was inside the toilet) to make sure she is ready when he comes back to pick her and their baby who is 8 months old. While leaving the house, my neighbour unknowingly left the door half opened and went inside the car. While he was reversing his vehicle, he didn't know his baby has crawled towards the back tyre. Nna eh, u need to see how a passerby ran with speed to hold the baby firmly and shouted. We all rushed out to know what was happening. Though the man sustained some bruises on his wrist. Since yesterday, I haven't stopped thanking God for his divine intervention towards the child and d man that saved the baby. Who knows what would have happened if the gate wasn't opened that made the man to see the baby. Pls parents biko let us to very careful. Thank u Lord for the life of this baby.

I notice there are more people and comments during weekdays but little turn out of comments on weekends which on a very good day should be the other way round.

I thought people should be more occupied during weekdays because of work, school or business and less busy during weekends but this blog has proven me wrong.

Abi more people dey go school, work or business on weekends?

You have time to comment and reply on every post on weekdays but busy with "life" on weekend iranu, let’s keep deceiving ourselves. Those who comment on every post on weekdays are housewives, unemployed graduates, some students whose courses are not demanding enough, people who are unproductive as employees just waiting for every pay day, and those people who comment with their business handle to drive sales. you cannot be fully engaged an have all the time in the world to drop comment, then on weekends you will now form "fully booked" whereas you dey one corner they read post, some of you don't even cross your gate sef.why do you think we shout TGIF! spa ko events ni na every weekend you dey go spa go events ni? 6. Lack of money will make you shut up at times when you need to speak up.

Lack of money will make you run into a hiding place when you see your friends who have made it hence become a recluse socially.

Lack of money makes you angry at any provocation.

Lack of money makes you not to dress well(at least to your taste). All those you think they are ugly, wait make money show first.

Lack of money makes you bitter/envy when you see you other friends making it. It takes the grace of God to be happy for them which is actually the right attitude.

Lack of money makes you eat what you see, not what you want to eat.

Lack of money makes you sweat so much and yet you say you can never leave Nigeria, not even for vacation.

Lack of money makes you see a necessity as luxury.

Lack of money sometimes make you watch loved ones die helplessly.

Lack of money sometimes make the head become tail.

Lack of money makes one shelve his/her responsibility even when you know what you are suppose to do.

Lack of money causes humiliation. It makes you lie that you are not at home when Landlord comes knocking.

Lack of money brings low self esteem.

Henceforth, God will open the windows of heaven and pour you out a financial blessing so great that there isn't enough room for you to receive it all. He will prosper you indeed, enlarge your territory, you will have in abundance, flourish and never lack.

See, I was coming back from school d other day, and heard a thundering slap. I was like, jeez! Who the hell just received that slap inside this hot sun? Immediately, I saw a man dragging a young girl by the ear and kicking her like he was beating his mate. I just knew he was d one that slapped the girl. That was how I started asking questions. Later gathered that, the young girl was the man's step daughter. And, I was told madam usually keeps mute when her husband is beating the girl. And this is a man dat doesn't touch his 'precious' children. Mehn, I was mad. Who gave him the right? Is he mad? Bia, if u wouldn't treat my child like urs, don't even try come near me. Infact, e nor go work. And, if you accept him and later change when we're are married, the more u make life miserable for him the more I come right back at you. Namsence.

    4. Rhoda Rex I hope you would still feel this way when you fall in love with a man
Most single mothers sacrifice their first seed for marriage. As long as they remain married, that child can disappear fo all they care. I don't really blame them, it I how the society treat ummarried women, it's even worse if you have a child.

      Delete
    5. Dada Toyosi, so your are married to yourself. I used to think you are a single mum but your being pregnant confused me. So y are married but still collecting provision on credit and also begging here? You should have remained a single mum, hustle hard and take good care of your self and your daughter instead of this one chance marriage you entered. Now you have another kid on the way, no job, husband = zero. It is well with your soul.

    6. My dear, move closer to the girl. Be her best friend, let her be free to tell you anything. 8yrs old girl have sense o, she knows all that is going on.
Hope your husband is not molesting her, check her private part front time to time cos these molesters maltreat their victims in order to put fear in them so they won't spill and also for anyone not to suspect anything.
I have have seen cases like that.
You see, I'm a single mum of two, I'm not looking forward to remarry, why? I want to be able to take good care of my kids, be their best friend, protect them, love them unconditionally.
There are only few men that would love their step children like their own, some men would later tell you that they don't want to see your kids in their home anymore, that you should take them to their father or relative. This will be after you have kids for him. The way I'm seeing it, your daughter will see hell in that house when you give birth, he will plant hatred for your daughter in his child, then father and child will gang up against that girl. I honestly don't know what solutions to give you now considering your condition. I pray God comes to your aid.

  18. Good morning my lovely bvs. Please,i need the wisdom of my bvs here. My brothers nephew (son of his elder brother)came to visit us,but anytime he comes,he doesnt do the dishes for the family after eating. Few times,i had to tell him to help out cos after cooking,i dont expect to tell him to do his dishes or ours. This guy isnt up to 20 yrs of age. I do tell my husband to tell him but he will rather do it. I am always busy, with a toddler and a breastfeeding baby to care for. Instead of my husband to send him message like lay the bed for both of them, its my husband that will be doing it cos hes an introvert. Pls,how do i subtly tell him in a matured way to always do the dishes. I dont want to be like a wicked inlaw who doesnt like his familys people. Just tell me ways to go about it without hurting him cos we yorubas have the stupid mentality of baba oko e ni. Pls,help me out cos am always tired even b4 the day ends cos of my little ones . Imagine, this my husband is 45yrs and am almost 40,only that we married late and one small biy will b leaving plates for me even with his after eating. Na my husband wash d ones of yesterday cos i told him i cant cook for him and also wash his plate that am not a slave in his house....from O.Y.O ....my browser is fucking up,i hope this gets posted

    1. Simply call him to wash the plates after the meal. No need to feel anyhow there. You better shine your eyes before they turn you to slave in your own house. I have one with me for the main time and them no born am make e no wash plates. I play with him very well o even gist with him but he knows better than leaving the dishes for me to wash. He's 19 by the way. So madam, speak up otherwise youl just be angry every time

      Delete
    2. Who does the dishes when he is not there? Is he just a visitor or permanent resident with you?
Madam,I would advice that you study him .if he was not trained to respect and do dishes, endure until he departs..
Don't allow simple things bring problem for you.you are stressing yourself over it.next time,he should not be allowed to visit.

      Delete
    3. Have you heard the word no food for lazy man. If he cant watch plates, stop giving him food. You are not born to be a slave.

Forget that your mentality of I married late. I hate that word. You married when God said it was time.

It is your home, if he do not like watching plates, he should stay with his parents not by force to live with you. Abeg dont allow anyone give you hypertension.

what other jobs does he do at home, apart from not washing plates

    4. 'Just tell me ways to go about it without hurting him cos we yorubas have the stupid mentality of baba oko e ni'

You never ready. When you need to trash issues out, you keep sentiments aside. You tell him without shouting. That's how you do it.

    5. Ma, I think you don't need to bother yourself much about this issue since your husband is doing the dishes without complaining.

  19. A lot of Nigerian parents are verbally abusive. They call it "discipline" but too many times, their words leave no room for encouragement, upliftment and affirmation. How many dreams have been killed by the words of a parent? How many gifts and talents and natural abilities have been repressed? So many have grown under these words, struggling to rid themselves of the insecurities and low self esteem they developed as a result of parental verbal abuse. They grow up and physically and emotionally distance themselves from their parents. Then the entitled questions come. Entitled because a lot of parents typically ask without unpacking or making any attempt to repair the years of emotional and sometimes psychological damage. "Why are you not close to me"? Real relationships are developed over time and it requires work. Biology alone does not cut it. If you want to have a personal relationship with your child(ren), then invest in them emotionally. Let your words build, not tear down. Affirm, encourage, correct with love and with positive words, LISTEN TO THEM, encourage them to ask questions, SHOW them they come first, and always be in their corner. You can't demand 'closeness'. You're not entitled to it just because you birthed them. You will get respect. You can get financial assistance and even physical help when needed but the emotional connection, the "closeness" that you so desire, is earned.... Fola Folayan

    1. My dear, i noticed i saw dandruff on my hair, but when i used that rice water and my hair dandruff shampoo, i did not see it again. You can use tea tree oil. There is this costly hair dandruff shampoo I used before, i cant remember the name again. But since i used rice water to watch my hair, i did not notice again

After a while she give her daughter that is around 22 years, #500 to go to mama put and buy cooked rice that worth #500 for them to eat inside the saloon.
