Is it right for some Countries to deny others entrance because of the fear of Ebola?..Read the following report.
''Dear Stella. I would like to bring to your attention that the Trinidad and Tobago Embassy is quietly refusing to entertain visa applications from Nigerians because if Ebola.
I was supposed to go for a Conference as part of a Group. The Embassy at first asked that we get certain documents from the body inviting us but later admitted that they were not taking applications from Nigerians and hadn't been in a while.
This is outrageous and should be brought to the public domain. We are Ebola free!''
*I feel like saying that this is so wrong but who will blame them? They are probably taking precautionary measures because they might not be able to contain the virus the way Nigeria did...who knows?
Serious matter
ReplyDeleteWhat rubbish! Nigeria has been declared or will be declared and Ebola free country today, so why the denial? Can they deny an American citizen visa now that case of Ebola has been reported in their country? Absolutely "NO". This is high lugubrious.

Well said my dear absolutely rubbish but on the other hand they are just trying to prevent they country from the virus, this ebola matter sef dey tayer person.
DeleteThe no of murder cases in Trinidad daily, is more than the Ebola they are scared of
DeleteIt's not their fault...
ReplyDeleteI commend the Nigerian Government for the ist time in my life for adequately combating Ebla spread in Naija
then again....take a look at Liberia..they are helpless. Ebola is sweeping them away...
Don't blame Trinidad n Tobago.
the fear of Ebola is the beginning of wisdom.
Of course prevention is better than recording a death case or cases and wide spread of the disease.
I commend the Nigerian govt but they av to do something fast abt this ban. If beta countries like US and UK neva ban us, then why should a third world country even think of it let alone implement it.
DeleteANGELRAY SAID
ReplyDeleteStella that is a flimsy excuse, do u think they will deny an American citizen visa also.
Na crase de worry dem na thats why mschewww
DeleteLmaoooo what's in Trinidad? Ndi street party? Bwahaahahhahha I laff in chinese
ReplyDeleteStella I knw what you did last nyt hahahahhahahh
*sunday grooove is just d best*
Thank uuu, was der last yr oct n I was like huh??? Ma naija sef better pass d country well well. Dos Caribbean islands nawa, dey all should b visa free.
DeleteI hope people will now understand why Nigeria could not easily close their borders to the west african countries that were affected! People screamed that Ghana had closed their borders! E easy?
ReplyDeleteImagine the USA trying to systematically prevent Africans from coming into their country, planned births,conferences,weddings,businesses...now we know how it feels for people to close their borders to us!
Senile Donald Trump is calling Obama mad for not closing their borders to us! For how long..when you think of the moral, economic implication, this is not what a nation should do in a crisis like this..especially one that we do not know how long it will last! Will Trinidad also ban flights coming in from Texas?? No! Every country should just do the screenings at the airport and I wish human beings will desist from lying especially when you are asked if you know someone that died of the Ebola Virus..We can all help ourselves!
Imagine the insult! But Nigeria is free from Ebola ke?
ReplyDeleteNo mind them oh! Small minded people
DeleteNaaa...
ReplyDeleteThat's highly unnecessary. Don't they have access to information. I mean, the deadly virus has been contained here according to WHO. So why the nonsense??!
GOD BLESS NIGERIA.
I don't blame them I blame Nigerian govt who has foreign affairs n internal affairs ministries but never do anything to defend d citizens.
ReplyDeleteWHO will declare nigeria Ebola-free today 20th Oct, then make we they see d silly reasons they will be giving?
Will Tridad n tobago embassy deny an american citizen visa even nw that ebola is there? No. Shows how pathetic things are.
GOD bless you for this comment. Racism at the highest level. I heard that the Nigerian embassy in Trinidad is messed up.
DeleteLmao ordinary TT is denying us visa, soon Cotonou will also close their boundry.
ReplyDeleteOrdinary better pass the country sef
DeleteTheir action is so wrong and right at the same time
ReplyDeleteI dont blame them though
I foresee more countries taking this step towards West African countries soon.
I dont blame them though, that issh is way to deadly to be joked with. But kudos yo Nigeria fg/SG we fought it tooth and nail.
ReplyDeleteLol. Do I blame them? We too suppose close our borders to all the countries with highly infected citizens. This way, other countries will know we are safe and willing to keep it that way.... At least for now.
ReplyDeleteTrinidad and Tobago? Who's going there? A country that's no better than naija. Hiss. Ebola be making jabgajantis country disrespect us.
ReplyDeletePeople keep saying Nigeria is going to be declared Ebola free, was US not EBola free 2 months ago?
ReplyDeleteEvery nation has a right to protect its citizens, and that is what their government is doing.
Dear SDKers,
ReplyDeleteAs a citizen of Trinidad &Tobago,I would like to humbly apologize for the rash behaviour of my Government.I would like to assure you that the people of T&T do not agree with this policy of this Government and hopefully the status quo will change.
Your country is racial. It is a country largely ruled by the Indians and discriminating even the black citizens let alone the blacks from Africa and you all sit down and watch this injustice being carried out on a daily basis. It is disheartening.
DeleteI can bet my next meal that you are a black Trini.
DeletePls can you tell us what your country plans to do about the Nigerians that have been denied entry upon arrival in Piarco airport Trinidad?
DeleteWhat truly annoys me most is the way all these countries mostly USA mistake LIBERIA for NIGERIA.
ReplyDeleteMany of them are so uninformed about names & location of countries, sometimes they place the crime of any african on Nigeria.
Like we need to go to trinidad and tobago abi na tobacco?
ReplyDeletePlease confirm this with the High Commission to ensure where they stand on this issue. Until this is officially clarify before any further action can be taken by Nigerian government.
ReplyDeleteTrinidad and Tobago kwa? Which kin conference una wan go for that kin place sef. They should use padlock to lock up everywhere sef if possible. I no blame dem, na dat yeye Sawmill wey carry am waka come I de blame.
ReplyDeleteThis is official. It has been implemented in Trinidad. They even denied a ship coming in from Africa entry. It is on the news.
ReplyDeleteTrinidad should be sanctioned internationally for this racially biased attitude. Why is America not on that list. Let the Nigerian government get in touch with their embassy in Trinidad and find out what is going on. International embarrassment.
