 Ghanaian government has said it was planning to export thousands of megawatts of electricity to Nigeria, Ivory Coast and other West African countries that have power problem.  Two traders, who allegedly concealed drugs suspected to be cocaine worth 119 million naira inside capacitors and perfumes, have been arrested by officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA. Oluremi Oyo, veteran journalist, editor and two-time managing director of The News Agency of Nigeria has died. She was aged 62.

She died yesterday in London, after a protracted illness, according to family

sources.The cause of death was not disclosed.Remi Oyo: 1952-2014

Oyo, who also was special assistant, media to President Olusegun Obasanjo, was also President of the Guild of Editors and worked for many years with the International Press Service and the News Agency of Nigeria in

Lagos.

In April 2012, Pope Benedict XVI bestowed on her the honour of Papal Dame of the Order of St. Gregory the Great.
