Eminem's Ex Sister-in-law Dawn Scott Found Dead In Allegedt Heroin Overdose'

Eminem’s sister-in-law has reportedly been found dead following a drug overdose. Dawn Scott is said to have passed away on Tuesday in the Motor City Trailer Park in Detroit.

According to, the 40-year-old died of “an apparent heroin overdose, pending a toxicology test.”

Dawn has been friends with Eminem since she was a youngster. She is the twin sister of the singer’s ex-wife Kim Matthews, and the birth mother of the former couple’s daughter Alaina.

After running away from home, Dawn and Kim moved in with Eminem and his mother when he was just 15, and he kicked off his romance with Kim back in 1989. He and Kim married for the first time in 1999 and divorced in 2001, before remarrying in 2006 for just four months.

Just four months ago, Dawn revealed her struggle to beat her drug addiction, and claimed to Radar that Eminem and Kim were giving her no help at all.
She said: “I have a millionaire brother-in-law and a sister with money up the ass.”
Dawn’s boyfriend Les Martin, who she had lived with on and off for the past four years, also told the outlet he had called Kim many times and asked her to help her sister. He said: “I’ve been trying like hell to save her life. I’ve had numerous conversations with Kim about trying to get her help and it just wasn’t a conversation she wanted to have.

“She wanted to let Dawn go. I was so frustrated I was like, ‘Do you have a $10 million insurance policy on her?'”
Mirror Celebs has contacted a rep for Eminem for comment.

*At the end of the day we are all accountable for our actions, the sister couldnt have helped her in anyway if she couldnt help herself.

  1. Mtchewww
Help someone who doesn't want to be helped

    1. Exactly,if you re not willing nobody can help you, beside Eminem sef needs help, hes own addiction is on another level

  2. The sister could have at least tried. The worst kind of demons are those that are stingy to their own siblings or those that just turn a blind eyes to their wrong doing.

Paying for a rehab for her could have gone a long way to help.

  3. Just 40 years? See how drugs ravaged her amd made her soo old.

Beats me why some people get addicted to something they know wil kill dem.esp as Addiction is hard to kick.any addiction.

Bn battling to kick my addiction to Ulo for

Her Twinnie couldn't have helped her.not even her partner or the Pope.Dawn is d only one with the power to help herself.all they could have done was support her n talk n let no one make Eminen or Kim feel bad here.

U wil be at peace now Dawn.

    1. Totally agree with you. Only you can save yourself.

The sister most have helped lottsssssss of times but she prolly kept going back to it.

      May she rest in peace.

    2. TGW my own addiction is nzu,am so addicted to Nzu ,and i dont blame addicts sometimes because me am Nzu addict, everyday i fear for myself .

    3. Hmmm Booty,my own addiction started when I was 14 or so.and in the was one Rev Sister's Ulo i saw and took a bite cos i saw her eating it earlier and wondered what it tasted like.

Since den,I have tried soo many times to stop to no avail.I ave given it up some times but but relapses and went back.

My day has truly ended well when climbing into bed at te end of d day and I have my ulo in ma hands.

Through I haven't given up.I stil eat it.but it's much Better now.i could go a day without it.sometimes two.And I no longer eat it in massive quantity like before.just a slab or at most 3.

It's well.addiction is hard to kick my dear.but we wil conquer it in d near future.

      A Former Ulo Addict,

  4. After she sent herself to do drugs, she decided to disturb her sister and eminem.. well farewell!

  5. Sometimes, a little encouragement from the ones we love can change a whole lot.

So yes her sis could have helped her.

  6. OYO. That is what they do in these oyibo countries. Fend for yourself.

Nigeria is better in terms of blood relations. Looking out for each other.

    RIP sister in law

    1. Not always true. Helping siblings have nothing to do with location or country.
Some Americans can die (literally ) for their friend talk more of family.

  7. No one should even say Kim and Eminem didn't do much to help cause there's a limit to help, especially when you're rendering it to someone that is almost irredeemable.

    RIP to the dead.

  8. So sad how people pull other people up in their issues.

No one knows how many times they have taken her to rehab? Or talked to her in the past or given her money? Afterall they adopted Alaina, her daughter and brought her up in good environment. That is the greatest favour they did her. Cos she would have dragged her daughter into her own mess and a new generation of addicts/babymama born. Thank God Eminem made money from music.

The life they were living in Detroit then was messy, like a Web, no space to get out. Either u become a factory worker, drug dealer and die young or a rapper(and most times, you never get beyond underground rap). You work to get food on your table and cloth on your back and if you have dependents, it's hell. Many who couldn't suffer in factory work resort to drug dealing to make cheddars. And many who can't cope with the pain of the sorry existence take drugs to help them fight the pain, to escape time and time again from the sadness and emptiness of their existence. Sex becomes a comforter and the resultant babies and diseases.

Eminem was not the best rapper in Detroit. He even had the disadvantage of being white. He fought and fought, was determined and dedicated to rap. He would write, scribble up rhymes and keep them somewhere. Start again another day. Who would sponsor a white rapper? Who did he know? He had no connection nor did he know anyone who would wanna sign him. He had 2 daughters, a wife depending on him. Did a 9-5 job, a drop out. Finally went for rap Olympics, didn't make it to no 1 but Dr Dre saw talent in him and took up his case against all odds. And the rest's history...

Even at a point, Kim had an addiction to coke. Eminem got depressed and overdosed on methadone , sleeping pills and all that.

The moral lesson is that they all suffered together. Some took their suffering and made it bread and gold while the others slumped and we're swallowed by their grief; the person that can help you is you. Everyone with his issues. The lady had psychological issues and if it hadn't been cured, no amount of money would have helped. Would have been like throwing your money in a well.

  9. RIP dear guess ur time is up after all u saw it coming

  10. Helping addicts got to be the toughest job ever.

It is possible that her Sis has helped her every single time.

Sometimes they even con you for money for booze n drugs. I watch their intervention programmes a lot.
Ishi Odikwa nu Eminem mma? Has he finished saving himself?

Keisha Cole still battles constantly to save her momma.
