Abducted Female Lecturer Found Dead Despite Ransom Being Paid.

The female lecturer in the Department of Biological Sciences at the Federal University of Agriculture Makurdi, Christie O. Agbulu, who was kidnapped in Lokoja on November 26, 2016 has been found dead.



Acting chairperson of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Federal University of Agriculture Makurdi chapter, Dr Bemgba Anjembe confirmed this to Daily Trust yesterday.

He said the corpse which was found in a decomposing state by security operatives had been handed over to the family for burial.

He prayed God to grant the family and university community fortitude to bear the loss.

 Ms Abulu was killed after Ransom for her release had been paid.

    So sad,but why do all these kidnappers do this most of the times,that was how my own late dad also a lecturer met his demise in the hands of this evil kidnappers,after killing him that night they contacted us the next morning demanding for Ransome upon Ransome...gave us false up and led us and the police on a wild goose chase for 3 months before they were apprehended and the idiots confessed and took us to where they buried my dad....what this woman's family has gone through all this you do not want to know,because u will have mixed feelings knowing your love one is out there suffering or being tortured and you will still remain positive and prayerful holding on to any glimpse of hope that you might see them soon and say some things or appreciate them for the things you never made time to do and gbam you hear the devastating news that d person is gone....may God give her family the strength and love to move on and bear this loss,the govt should do something about this kidnappings in the country pls(rip dad)

      They were 11 in numbers and 9 were in custody and charged to court and the death by hanging sentence was pronounced but we were told that the remaining 2 at large will have to be caught so they will all die together and the case will be officially closed
