World′s longest flight lands in New Zealand

The world's longest commercial flight, from Qatar to New Zealand, has touched down in Auckland for the first time. The Qatar Airways Boeing 777-200 crossed 14,535 kilometers and 10 time zones on its epic journey.

The Qatar Airways flight was greeted with a celebratory water cannon salute as it taxied down the runway at Auckland airport on Monday.
"We've officially landed in New Zealand, the 'Land of the Long White Cloud,'" the airline tweeted.

The 16-hour, 23-minute flight from Doha covered a distance of 14,535 kilometers (9,030 miles), crossing 10 time zones and five countries. Qatar Airways said the flight was operated by four pilots and 15 cabin crew.

    3. They are referring to the 10 hours time zones that they crossed. It really can't be the longest with 16hrs 23mins, cos I have been in a 16hrs 40mins flight from Dubai to Houston.

    2. Honestly. Abuja to Instanbul to chigago to Florida was just the worst. I wanted to cry. All together it was about 22 hours with just 3 hours stop over in between. How I wish I can just disappear and appear

    3. If u fly an american airline, Naija to NY is like 13 hours. Its connecting through Dubai that makes the journey so long. Last time I flew emirates to NY, I swore never to again. My shoulders almost dislocated.

If a 6 to 7 hours flight to Africa freaks and wears me out then I don't even want to imagine what a 16 hours flight will do to my system.
As for the Airline, should I say congratulations?Though am still wondering what they were trying to prove.
