Justin Gatlin Bows To Usain Bolt After Defeating Him As World Champion

Justin Gatlin is the new world champion in the 100m event as he emerged tops in Saturday’s final at the ongoing IAAF World Championships.

Gatlin is emerging as the world champion again after he last made that feat in 2005.

The American sprinter who has been banned twice for drugs and was never the fans’ favourite in Saturday’s race posted a winning time of 9.92secs.

Another American Christian Coleman came second in a time of 9.94secs while Bolt finished in third place with 9.95secs.

Despite his third-place finish, Usain Bolt got more applause from the crowd as they celebrate the 30-year old Jamaican who is now bowing out of a sport that brought him so much fame and wealth.

Gatlin is a fighter, his spirit is worth emulating. This is a man who won gold in Athens '04.People need to give this guy some credits despite whatever he must have been through.

  8. Its not good to be overwhelmed of success... Every individual in your field will never rest until they try to defeat you so you shouldn't relent too... He never saw this coming anytime soon... Congrat to the new champion

  9. this moved me to tears last night watching it.justin Gatlin was the least liked, respected.the crowd didn't cheer for him when he was introduced but look at the outcome on a night that was supposed to be the most important night of bolts sprint career.this is an inspirational lesson,it doesn't matter what you've done or been through in the past,if people like you or not. do what's right, correct your wrongs, work hard and pray hard. and watch God come through for you because he has the final say.congrats to Gatlin the unexpected champion.
