Morning Fresh Brings Freshness To August Women's Meeting

Whenever its August every year, there’s usually a massive movement from different towns and cities across the world of “Igbo women” groups to their matrimonial rural hometowns and sometimes specific locations across the world, where they unite with their rural-based colleagues for what is now popularly known as the “August Meeting.”

These meetings were originally often geared towards self-help rural community development, but have in recent times delved into conflict management, peace-building, mini carnivals and human development in rural societies. It's a time when all Igbo women come dressed in uniformity regardless of their social class to associate, celebrate and foster communal, family and individual progress amongst themselves.

This year, PZ Cussons, makers of Morning Fresh, Nigeria’s No.1 Dish washing liquid was live at Abia, Anambra and Lagos State to participate and engage women across 5 different communities in 3 cities with branding and fun filled activities such as dancing competitions, raffle draws, buy and win/bundle offers, cooking-squeaky wash competitions and live demonstration of our products as women won massive gifts and freebies from the brand.

Speaking at the Lagos event, the Marketing Manager of Homecare Category, PZ Cussons Vivian Akindele while engaging the women said that ‘’Morning Fresh has continued to maintain its leadership position in the Dish wash category through her Power in one Drop campaign. Morning Fresh Dish wash brand ‘washes so much more’ through its superior grease cutting power that’s gives a squeaky clean effect after use’’.

Also speaking at the Abia and Anambra event, Brand Manager, Morning Fresh, Iku Ejiro, said ‘’Morning Fresh would continue to bring freshness to every woman and her home by ensuring that her kitchen remains a constant pride to her. Also, Morning Fresh would continue to find a balance of engaging and giving back to her communities.’’

The Abia events had the presence of the Deputy Governor Rep, Hon, P. Mbah, H.R.H Eze Dr. I. A. Ikonne and other Eze’s in attendance That of Anambra’s experience will mostly not be forgotten soon by the women in attendance. Lagos edition which took place at the National stadium, Surulere, was a massive carnival with top class dignitaries like the First lady of Ondo State, Her Excellency, Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, representatives of the Imo state and Lagos first ladies in person of Honorable Mrs Adaera Injeize and Honorable Elizabeth Adedarin with other women from various Imo state communities present.
