Miss India Manushi Chhillar Wins Miss World 2017

Miss India Manushi Chillar has become the sixth Indian to be crowned Miss World. The 20-year-old will bring the crown back to India after 17 years.

 The last Indian to bag the title was Priyanka Chopra, who wore the crown in 2000.

Miss World 2017, the 67th edition of the Miss World pageant. was held on 18 November 2017 at the Sanya City Arena in Sanya, China. 118 contestants from all over the world competed for the crown. Stephanie Del Valle of Puerto Rico crowned her successor Manushi Chhillar of India at the end of the event.

A medical student from Haryana, Manushi Chhillar, emerged the new Miss World 2017. Elbowing aside beauties from over 108 nations, Manushi was crowned the new queen in the Sanya City Arena in China PR. Miss World 2016 winner Puerto Rico's Stephanie Del Valle passed on the coveted crown to the new titleholder, Manushi Chhillar from India.

The gorgeous 20-year old also won the Head to Head Challenge and the Beauty with a Purpose titles

  10. This reminded me of 2001,the year Agbani Darego won Miss World in South Africa. Her predecessor is the Bollywood actress, Priyanka Chopra.

    Priyanka predecessor was also an Indian;I can't remember her name since I didn't watch the show that year.
