Man Declares Christmas A Done Deal For Him And Family As MTN Showers Gifts In Oyo

Oriade Olawale, a barber and father of 5 children resident in Fiditi, Oyo State who has been blessed with gift items in the MTN Season of Surprises initiative has said that the joy of the Christmas celebrations has been completed for his family all thanks to MTN.

Olawale was one of the many residents of Fiditi that enjoyed the assistance from MTN this week. When MTN visited the sleepy town, it buzzed to life as a lot of food items were given to the residents.

Olawale stated that the Season of Surprises initiative is an intervention that came at a much needed time for his family at this time. According to him, his barbing business wasn’t doing particularly well lately and the thought of impending Christmas celebrations without the usual feasting scared him.

‘’I operate a barbing salon here in Fiditi and business has not been good lately. Every time I think of the Christmas without money and more importantly, the usual feast in my house, it scares me. MTN is a face-saver today. They bailed me out when I wasn’t even expecting and I really glad. May God continue to bless MTN. Christmas is a done deal for us,” he declared.

MTN continued with the give-back drive that has been making waves across the country last week with a Surprise a Community aspect of the initiative. The telecommunications company also surprised many travellers across major bus terminals with a refund of their fares, paying for it instead.

Additionally, MTN has also commenced an online drive in the initiative with a gift of 5,000 worth of shopping vouchers redeemable on jumia.com while a cake distribution spree is underway across the country
