i guess their club side pay them better than their country. Because i don't hear them saying they are retiring from their club side.

ReplyDeleteStella it's normal nah...after every worls cup, some footballers must definitely retire, especially those that know they might not make it for the next worldcup.

Some also retire as a result of problems in the national team or F.A just like what is happening in Nigeria now.

ReplyDeleteI don't think it is an issue. The players retiring now are those who want to give their full attention to their club side rather than being called every now and then for continental qualifiers. Many of them go come back before next WC
