The letter sighted by our correspondent indicated that Daniel’s resignation takes effect from March 14.
Daniel served as the Deputy Chairman of the PDP Presidential Campaign Council (South) in the just concluded presidential election.
He equally directed his supporters to vote for the All Progressive Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate, Dapo Abiodun in the last Saturday’s election, wherein Abiodun emerged.
His Media Aide, Steve Oliyide confirmed the development in a telephone chat with our correspondent on Saturday.
“Yes, it true. He wrote the letter”, Oliyide said.
“My decision in this regard is entirely personal to me and having served in various capacities, including as Governor of Ogun State, I have resolved to immerse myself in some other vocations and take on some new challenges,” Daniel popularly called OGD, said in the letter.

Exactly. Saw it coming when he was declared a senatorial candidate in PDP Kashamu group and also holding up Dapo Abiodun's hand just before the election. How he was able to be that close to Atiku is questionable. Stylishly moving back to his masters. May God help him
