Gov. Ganduje Tells Buhari To Stop Fulani Herdsmen’s Movement From North To South

Governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje has called on the President Muhammadu Buhari-led Government to abolish the movement of Fulani herdsmen from the Northern region to the Southern part of the country.

Ganduje spoke in an interview with Channels Television on Saturday in reaction to bloody clashes between Fulani herders and farmers.

He said that only the establishment of Ruga settlement for Fulani herdsmen across the country would solve the security issue.

Ganduje also spoke about the 16-man committee he inaugurated in Kano to identify critical areas of setting up Ruga across the state.

“This settlement is a must and to us in Kano state, it’s a task that must be done, because we must improve the quality of lives of the herdsmen so that they become full Nigerians and behave like any other good Nigerian, so that the conflict we are having all over the country can be reduced and at the same time, they can improve the way they breed their cattle.

“The Federal Government should abolish the movement of herdsmen from the Northern part to the Southern part of Nigeria because that creates a lot of problems and the only way to do it is the RUGA issue.”

  2. Lekwanum eshishi o .. The south eastern governors says they do not have extra land for you people. Bring the 🐄 in worries, offload, sell and go back instead of destroying prople's farm produce. You have very vast land in the north. The " motive" is becoming glaring.

  3. Both the RUGA nonsense won't solve anything either. They should scrap it off. Ganduje lied on this. They should establish the RUGA in their north if they so desperately need it, then transport the cows to the south through trailers and not on foot. We won't accept RUGA no matter how good they want to make it look.

Cattle owners are wealthy so why is the government financing them with tax payers money? Do they pay tax or share profit with Nigerians? I just don't want to vex this afternoon.

  5. Nigerians,

Buhari is uneducated, he is unexposed and he is a religious extremist.
He wants to satisfy his version of Allah by islamising Nigeria and turning it into an apocalyptic wasteland before he soon dies and meets his personal Allah he and his delusional followers would meet. Where he would explain to his Allah why he believes stagnancy, violence, rape and backwardness is the wish of a creator:
