JULIANAS OPINION
Feeding Allowance

I overheard a woman complaining to her co traders on how she was given 1000 naira by her husband to use and cook soup, she said one could imagine buying both meat an dried fish from this same money. I was amazed at the amount given to her for soup, when the other women she was complaining to told her that she is lucky to even receive money at all from her husband. That she does not get any money at all, and that men are wicked and very tricky.

This left me wondering how such women cope, where will she start from with 1000 naira, with the high cost of food stuff. Why do some men do this, is it some kind of game to them or what?.

How do you expect so much with so little amount, don't ask me if i know if the man have money to give?, because I know some so called rich men that do same. They won't allow their wives to work nor trade and will still not bring out money to take care of the home front.

These type of men pay huge amount of money at isi ewu joints and mama puts and do father Christmas to outsiders. But once it's for their home they say that there is no money. We call such men oka mma na iro (one who is only good to outsiders).

In as much as some women do not mind shouldering the financial responsibilities in their homes, does not mean that the man should relax and leave everything to her. Being a man is not by mouth or by having good game in the bedroom, being a man entails much more.

A dead head cannot be carried by any neck no matter how efficient, because it's the head that give life to the neck and other members of the body.

Some men need to sit up and care for their homes and know that what they are looking for in Sokoto is in sokoto  .....

Just two weeks ago, someone told me that she just got married and is shocked to find out the man is not contributing to the household or anything for the baby...she used up all her money for food (which he eats)for baby stuff and to maintain the house and she ran out of money, she asked him to give her some and the next day he told her that she did not tell him before they married that she would be asking him for money and that he needed space and that she should move to her parents

Imagine!!!

Maybe the woman was so desperate for the marriage that the man felt he was doing her a favor by marrying her and making her a Mrs.

    4. This is why it's important to discuss EVERYTHING before marriage...every single thing. Maybe the man grew up in a home where the Dad never contributed and the Mom did it all or with a single mother without a father figure. Women should stop assuming and ask questions even to the mundane things abeg

Is that one a husband? Who even trained him.
If you go online, Facebook, twitter etc you will see the way young men/boys have gone far with this 'she has to bring something to the table thing and then you will wonder less about how this said husband expected he doesn't have the responsibility of contributing feeding money etc
      Good for both of them.

I know someone who stopped bleeding at 35yrs. Now she is 53 without child.
Sometimes early menopause occurs for so many reasons, the earlier she knows what exactly is the problem the better for her, could be village people things or marine husband thing.
I also know of someone who is 35 presently and having all these ceasing meases and she has done some test, she was advised to try to take in and be active sexually .

  38. There was one my mum's neighbor shared around 2000 or 2001 that his customer gave his wife #200 to cook food for the family & the woman torn the money cos it's wasn't enough. The man beat the woman because of what she did to the money

So we started suggesting maybe she would have bought Okro #50.00, then buy Maggi #50.00 then get vegetables from their farm & use #100.00 for Garri. Add plenty water to the soup. This happened in the village.

Note my mom's neighbor has a buka & I guess it was while he was there that he told my mom's neighbor (Da B). I guess the man should be an Okada rider.
