Comedienne Princess Tells Court That Embattled Actor Baba Ijesha Wooed Her But She Refused..

Comedienne Princess, has narrated how she met embattled Nollywood actor, Olanrewaju Omiyinka, aka Baba Ijesha.

Speaking before the Lagos State Special Offences Court in Ikeja, Lagos, on Monday, Princess said she met Baba Ijesha in 2008 at an event and the two decided to start making comedy skits together.

She also claimed Baba Ijesha wooed her in the process of their work relationship but she rejected his proposal.
Princess said she got close to the actor afterwards, especially after her marriage crashed around 2013.

“I invested in his education and he visited me at home thereafter,” she said.

Baba Ijesha has been in court since April 22, 2021 after the Lagos State Police Command arrested him for allegedly sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl in Princess’s care.

He was charged on six counts of sexual assault by penetration, indecent treatment of a child, and sexual assault.

The actor, who is being tried by Justice Taiwo over charges bordering on rape, sexual assault and abuse of a minor, was however granted bail on the ground that it was his fundamental human right.

    3. Even if she dated Baba Ijesha it gives him no right to abuse her foster child.
Princess is an adult who can have relations with any man she chooses. However Baba Ijesha does not have a right to sexually touch/abuse any child.
If he likes he can sleep with all the women in yorubahood, dats on them. But he must not even dream of being near any of their kids or any kid sef in any inappropriate form.

    4. B&R thank you so much. Most people are excusing the behaviour that they dated and Princess is a scorned ex. Please, what most are saying is, it's okay for step and foster fathers to abuse the children they meet in any relationship. Do you people sincerely think molesting a minor is the bonus a man should get for dating/marrying anyone with a biological or foster child? I've been so disgusted and embarrassed by this case because this is no longer about Baba Ijesha but millions of paedophiles and rape apologists we have in Nigeria. I shudder to think what any minor in care of those people have gone through or will still go through. The saddest part is even the rape apologists are mostly women and if we believe statistics one in 3 women will suffer rape/molestation or harassment in their lifetime, meaning half of this women have probably been raped or molested. So because you have experienced something and you think you are okay after the ugly episode should every other woman experience it also and you can't even pity minors? It behooves me because this isn't even about education because most people have some form of basic education and are still supporting this dastardly act. Princess may have set it up but we all saw the video and no one forced baba Ijesha to kiss that girl or fondled her breast. People please repent if you think Baba Ijesha did a normal thing. Only in Nigeria will the victim be made the villain.

    5. B&R and anon 03:20, thank you for speaking my mind and saving me the trouble. I've written off certain visitors of this blog in terms of cerebral sagacity and conscience so it is a relief to see that child abise is not a joke to everyone.

    6. I've fought a lot of people cos this case. A sane parent would carry placard against ijesha and his cohorts. Even if she's 17 years.......she's a minor. Imagine what kids are going through living with aunties, sisters, in-laws and all. If a grandma like iya rainbow can say what she said......shior

    7. B&R and anonymous 03:20, God bless you. Sometimes I wonder how some people reason.

  2. That's irrelevant to the case. It's no offence to decline a relationship.

He is under trial for molesting a CHILD.

    1. Thank you! We don't even care if they were lovers. Our concern is the teenager that was molested. Princess is an adult.

    2. Unfortunately she has to mention this because of those trying to twist and change the narrative in favor of Baba Ijesha.

  3. I feel she needed to clear the air about their relationship because people are insinuating that she's in love with baba ijesha.

She refused, then why did she allow him coming to her house?
There is difference between colleagues and friends.
Learn to draw the boundary otherwise you loose your respect.

    2. So none of your colleagues or fellow students have been to your house to visit? Soon you would say they are down reviewing you at work despite your two masters degrees. You don't know the importance of networking and informal relationships.

    3. If they work together he should be able to come to her house. I follow Toke and Mercy on snapchat and their house is always full of people working, Toke especially. All her makeup and glam squad, camera crew etc even celebs come to her house for skits and all. Its all a working relationship

You called it working relationship .
Their own could be romantic/working relationship cos Baba Ijesha wanted a relationship.

  7. Whether Princess and baba Ijesha dated or are still dating is another kettle of fish altogether. In fact, wouldn't that even be a good reason for him to avoid that child totally no matter how "dirty" he was? Instead, he was toasting "mummy" and "touching" daughter. Yeye human being.

  8. The way I avoid this kind of mess is to give you a slap that will reboot your brain when you don't respect boundaries.
The mistake she made was opening her door for him.

    1. Ha! Na wa oh! Even if they dated, is that a reason for Ijesha to molest her daughter? So anyone that visits you at home is allowed to commit a crime in your house because you open door for them abi?

  11. And so what if she dated or is dating baba Ijesha? Shes an adult and can date whoever she wants. I dont understand why people always leave the main matter and focus on irrelevant things.

  12. How exactly is this relevant to the case? Ever wondered what court proceedings look like in Nigeria?

  16. Exactly, she should have come out plain and said they were friends nothing is wrong with that.
Than all these 'cut and join' stories.
The main concern is the girl Involved.
