  2. Singing According To Our Dispensation!!
    Colossians 1:25.

    Excerpts!!

"As I studied the Bible, I realized that God never left us in the dark about anything. For example, the songs we sing are supposed to be according to dispensations but many don’t realize it."

"Our praise of God has to be according to our dispensation—where we live in God’s calendar—His prophetic timing, and where we are with God"

"We have to sing songs that truly praise and worship God; songs that are consistent with who we are in Christ, our dominion and heritage in Him.(Revelation 1:6; 5:10)"

    Prayer!!

Dear Father, thank you for choosing me to know and walk in the knowledge of your will in wisdom and spiritual understanding. I’m guided by the Holy Spirit to walk in your light and in your truth, today and always, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

    Further Study:
    Revelation 5:9; Revelation 15:3-4

  6. YOU NEED ADEQUATE SLEEP

You will lie down and sleep soundly.' Proverbs 3:24 NLT

David said, 'I will both lie down in peace, and sleep; for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety' (Psalm 4:8 NKJV).
What about your sleep habits? Do you go to bed at a certain time and get up at a certain time? Or do you allow events, people, deadlines or other circumstances to dictate your sleep schedule? If you're wise, you will allow yourself adequate time to wind down in order to sleep when you go to bed. We think of sleep as some passive process in which we drift off into oblivion and wake up several hours later well rested. But sleep is an active state. Metabolic and other restorative processes occur during the various stages of sleep. If we don't sleep long enough for our system to be rejuvenated, we find ourselves irritated by the smallest things, and we tend to overeat. The excess hunger is just our body's cry for the energy that was supposed to be supplied by a good night's sleep.
It's particularly hard to sleep when you have pressing matters on your mind. If you want to 'lie down in peace and sleep', give your worries to God and trust him to take care of them. If you're unable to, try this: get a small box with a lid, write down what's bothering you and put it into the box, put the lid on it and set it up on a shelf in your wardrobe. By that simple act of faith, you're saying, 'Lord, I'm giving this to you. When I awaken tomorrow, you will give me the strength and wisdom to deal with it.' Try it; it works!

We lay our burdens and challenges before your throne, deliver us from the destruction set by the devil and his agents.
Father, you said in your word, “ We should cast our cares on you, and you will sustain us; and you will never let the righteous be shaken"
We lay down all our problems before you today.
Take away sickness and disease from our life's cos you alone have the power to give or take life. We ask for your grace to sustain us throughout today and always in Jesus name we pray. Amen

  12. You see this Burial of a thing? Na there Muslims pass Christians because why should the bereaved family be getting a lengthy list from inlaws, church and others about what they would want to eat and drink on that day? See us with tears in our eyes because our mother left fairly early (her 60s) and didn't enjoy the fruit of her labor or see any of her grandkids and you're here giving us a f##king list. Abeg just imagine am! Wetin concern us and your silly appetite? Like if you're hungry, eat from your house on that day before coming.

    2. It depends on the traditional practice of your people and also the church you attend.
Where I come from, there's no any list for christian burial. Both the church and inlaws contribute their part for the burial.

      Delete
    3. Dear Sandra, i'm so sorry for your loss and I understand how you and your siblings feel, it's really not easy.

I do not know your tradition or what tribe you come from, but please for the sake of the entire family, try and meet the demands of those villagers. You see that list they gave your family, even if you can't meet up with all, try the best you can and politely tell the to accept

My mum was a Christian, but in her case, the different association she was part of brought their lists, church people brought theirs and even the single ladies of my community. List was running into millions

My family had to do all to avoid strange stories. We even bought pens and chewing gums because they said my mum was their secretary and we must buy pens

If the list you're talking about is from the elders of your community, pls and pls try. Your family can go the village chief to beg. Because those hungry looking elders are worse than serpent and only a typical villager like me will understand. Dem no dey do stubborness for dis particular matter so oh

May your mum's soul continue to rest in peace

    7. My sister, it's really worrisome. They don't even care if the bereaved have the resources to attend to their so-called demands. Hnnmmm....May God see you through.

    8. Hmmmmmmm

I have a different idea about the above, as for me, I keep telling people, I can't stand loosing my dad or mum and also loosing money at the same time. This can only happen when they die at old age but 60+, I swear, you can't give me any nasty list.

Why on earth will you spend 2m in burying your mum or dad but when both were alive, you didn't use that amount of money to take care of them..

It's so annoying and disheartening. the way we Yorubas handle burial ceremony is too alarming.

Some even go to the extent of borrowing money from people all cuz you want to cook for people..haba

      Delete
    9. Sorry dear I pray the Lord see you through at this time.I think this practice is mostly common with the south south and south east people.
I went for a burial in Edo state one time and I kept asking if we came for burial or feast because they were just killing goats like chicken, buying drinks and they told the person I followed that they don't eat poundo yam except pounded yam. They even sent plenty gifts to the woman's family as if there was a marriage proposal on the way. The woman we went to bury was also in her mid 60'sthen.

    16. I sympathize with you dear, that's how greedy and inconsiderate some of our cultures can be. Imagine people that are mourning . Do the little you people can , after yhet make una ignore them completely.

    17. Sandy it is well πŸ’— just ask God to give your family grace to provide all they want for the burial.

    18. I can relate.
They call it tradition. They won't contribute a dime to assist you, the will just give you list and balance and collect all the items including goats and crates of beers. Then they eat and drink to their satisfaction during the party, after party they will still tax you for "snuff" money. Very wicked and greedy elders plus some churches too. You will see a church demanding for a full big goat and some other things from the struggling children of the deceased
Yorubas don't do like that. That is one thing I observed about their burials, even the Christians among them.

      Delete
    19. It's definitely the tradition where you come from and I think all these should be scrapped because the person you are doing it and spending this amount untop sef won't be aware. Family that are mourning and some won't be able to go to their daily jobs talk more of earning more money and it's people around that are supposed to help them out that period and it's that people that will add to their burdens. This doesn't happen where I come from, if you like just dig ground put the body make everybody go their house go eat e no concern anybody. Nigeria is hard enough already.

So there is one girl hawking peppered ponmo in the market. This girl will carry her ponmo on her head and be shouting " come and eat my ponmo, my ponmo is very sweet" she says it in yoruba language.

Whenever she says it everybody will burst out laughing. Some men will start calling her to come and give them her ponmo. Some women told her to stop saying Come and eat my ponmo she should say what other hawkers of peppered ponmo are saying too but she refused.

For sometime we stoped seeing her in the market.

It was yesterday when i was parking my shoes i heard they raped the girl in the market. Some people were blaming her that sge caused it for herself. That they warned her and she refused to listen. Some were saying it was her marketing strategy..
Was she to be blamed? I pity her sha

    3. First of all, find out from your ex husband the date in which judgment was delivered dissolving your marriage. Secondly, calculate 90 days from the date of judgment. This is because decree nisi does not become final and absolute until 90 days pass. Thirdly, apply to the Asistant chief Registrar requesting that the decree be made absolute.

      Delete
    4. Before you do all that, find out from your ex Husband the suit number, the name of the judge who handled it and the name of the parties. This is to enable you have the necessary information when you go to the registry. Getting a decree absolute is quite expensive so give your lawyer the amount he's asking for because his fees are inside the money he's requesting for.
