He said
"I retired from the Nigeria police 1st October 2023, since then nothing has been paid to me. Just two weeks back, they called me that they are going to pay me 3 million naira. What for? They said that is my pension. The 3 million naira is not for the whole pension, that 1 million naira is my arrears from the time I retired till now and 2 million naira is my entitlement.
I cannot serve this country for 35 years and be paid 2 million naira the devil is a liar. Please, let the IG hear this. I was a superintendent of police before retirement.
Even if your brother becomes a superintendent of police today and is being asked to take 2 million naira home as benefit ask yourself if it will be well. I am not collecting that money, I am not going to collect that money! Let my service be in vain, I don't give a sh*t I don't have money and 2 million naira will not make me a rich man."

Omo, 2 million after 35years of service
ReplyDeleteLagos state did it about 10 years ago. Politicians will spend people’s pension , then the new people in charge will scramble for money to pay retired workers. Very sad. There needs to be better laws protecting people’s pensions
