Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has honoured persons living with albinism during an empowerment programme in the state.
The governor shared his personal experience of living with albinism by recounting the challenges he faced growing up, including bullying, body shaming, and rejection.
“Growing up with albinism wasn’t easy; I faced bullying, body shaming, and rejection. But today, by God’s grace, I stand proudly. That’s why whenever I see anyone with this skin condition, I make it a point to honour and recognise them,” Governor Eno said.
