Kano State Govt Sues EX Gov Ganduje, His Sons And Others Over Alleged N4.49bn Fraud

On October 13 2025 the Kano State Government officially filed a lawsuit against former Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, his two sons Umar Abdullahi Umar and Muhammad Abdullahi Umar and several associates over an alleged ₦4.49 billion fraud tied to the Dala Inland Dry Port Limited project.
 

They are accused of Misappropriation of public funds and illegal transfer of the state’s 20% equity stake in the Dala Inland Dry Port.

Other Defendants Include in the case are.....
- Abubakar Sahabo Bawuro – former Special Adviser
- Hassan Bello – ex-Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Shippers Council
-Adamu Aliyu Sanda – legal practitioner
- Dala Inland Dry Port Limited – corporate entity allegedly used in the scheme.

The defendants face a ten-count charge, including criminal conspiracy, misappropriation of public funds, breach of trust, and conflict of interest.
