Emotionally present, connected and providing dad here. A dad who reads bible stories to his kids before bed, gives them a hug and a peck whenever the opportunity presents. I don't know if it is a good thing or not but I think I've built my world around them.

DeleteIt's a good thing, you're doing well and your kids would ever cherish all the beautiful moments.
DeleteJust like whenever I think of my childhood, my dad made it fun, he was always available, even as an adult he is still very present in my life.
God bless all the good fathers.
Mariam.
I think most men wants to be around their kids and also be a provider from personal experience with my father.
ReplyDeleteMy ex was a good provider to his child, due to distance they both dont see often but whenever they meet I see that he yearns to be present and now that he is opportuned to be closer to us, he always makes himself available even when its not convenient, like he is making up for the younger years, showing up for school events, hanging out, having face to face conversations and so on
our son is loving and cherishing the beautiful memories he is creating.
Mariam.
Some men don't see their kids for years like the cousins ex. It seems he is not even bothered
ReplyDeleteEmotionally and physically present fathers are the real alphas, plus they also provide, they are not ashamed to show their vulnerability, their kids are their world, but sadly misogyny frowns on any show of emotion or vulnerability hence the word 'simp' comes to mind!
ReplyDeleteIt is a only a boy that will call a man simp for being there for his family in all spheres, financially, emotionally, spiritually and physically, no matured man will say that
