  5. Legally, yes — step-siblings can marry because they share no bloodline. But the real issue isn’t whether it is right or wrong, but the morality behind it - especially with the type of society we have.

    So the problem lies in the psychology and the family fallout. Once their parents marry, those children become step-siblings, and that alone complicates the emotional boundaries. It can create tension, awkward loyalties, and a lifetime of carousels or side-eye from both families. In our society especially, people won’t just talk — they’ll analyse the entire family tree.

    If the two met as adults before their parents’ marriage, the situation feels different. But if they grew up under one roof, the lines get blurry fast. So while it’s technically allowed, the question becomes whether the relationship is worth the drama that will follow them everywhere.
