ReplyDeleteThe rule of thumb is never to loan the exact amount anyone asks for. If somebody asks for 1 million then tell them all your have is 150k that you can lend, they will either take it or leave it. I remember when someone wanted me to invest $5000 in their business, promising to repay. I told them to ask 10 ppl to loan $500 each because I don't think anyone will just take up $5000 to loan for unsure business venture, the person said they didn't want to owe so many different ppl, just one person. I knew right then that they had no intention of repaying.
