The sponsor Senator Yisa Ashiru (Kwara South) pushed the resolution, citing escalating insecurity in Kwara, Kebbi, and Niger States.

Government officials, if you relax because your wives and children have all relocated abroad, what about yourself? The way these kidnapers are going now, if something drastic is not done on time, even government offices will be hijacked by these ruthless elements.
