Police Rescue Stolen 2-Year-Old Sold To Pastor And London-Based Woman For N6.6m

The Niger State Police Command has rescued a 2-year-old girl who was stolen and sold to three different buyers, including a pastor in Abuja, for a total of N6.6 million.


The spokesperson of the command, SP Wasiu Abiodun, who disclosed this in a statement on Thursday, November 27, 2025 said the victim identified as Rahamat Mohammed, was stolen from Sabon-Wuse in Tafa Local Government Area of the state by a suspected human trafficker, Victoria Ebunoha Chukwumezie.

According to the PPRO, Chukwumezie, who was earlier arrested with three stolen children, sold Rahamat to one Rosemary of Nyanya, Abuja.
Rosemary on her part, sold the child to one Pastor Vincent Emmanuel in Abuja for N2.8m.
Pastor Emmanuel sold the girl to a London-based woman, Anthonia Nwabufor, for N3.8m.
Wasiu explained that further investigation revealed that Nwabufor was making arrangement for the girl to join her in London.

    1. Same here. Once you add the pastor title to your name during any discussion leading to financial transactions, my FBI and forensic lenses automatically get activated. Unfortunately, it activates more scrutiny from me and because of stories like this, I don't trust african pastors mostly.

  7. The Adoption process is better. It takes time but you will get it. Nigerians are always in a hurry and likes short cuts to everything 🙄
