In my opinion, the stillbirth would have left her traumatised. Most likely, that's where she lost herself and maybe became someone the ex-husband could no longer relate to.
Not every partner understands the pain of miscarriage, let alone stillbirth. And grieving that brokenness is something that is not the same for everyone. It takes more than presence to cover the weight of a body that carried life and lost it, then had to flinch in the same home where she was meant to heal. That's enough fractures that can rearrange a person’s entire sense of self.
My pain here is how quickly we forget that these are human lives, not just storylines. Pain doesn’t vanish because someone has fans, shows up on social media, or has a big personality online. Everyone deserves a life that isn’t lived under fear, acts, or apology.
Whatever Anita’s truth is, may she find the kind of quiet strength that doesn’t need social media to validate it. And may we, for the love of God, try to treat stories like this with more empathy - even if their online presence made us question ourselves inadequately.
