The case comes from a 2024 petition by Peter against Jude, the former manager of P-Square, alleging financial misconduct.
During a resumed cross-examination before Judge Rahman Oshodi, EFCC counsel Mohammed Bashir stated that the agency could not substantiate the allegations. This marks a turning point in the long-standing feud among the Okoye brothers, which began deteriorating after the band's split in 2017. Despite a brief reunion in 2022 with hits like "Jaiye (Ihe Geme)" and a planned 100-city tour, internal conflicts over management and finances have persisted.
The dispute traces back to Peter's accusations that Jude operated 47 undeclared bank accounts and manipulated the share structure of Northside Entertainment Ltd, the company jointly owned by the brothers. This led to charges against Jude, who was granted bail of N50 million in March 2025. However, the latest court revelation shifts the burden back to Peter to provide proof of his claims.
