Nigeria's Defence Minister Badaru Abubakar Resigns On Health Grounds..

***************

Nigeria's defence minister, Alhaji Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, has resigned his appointment, with immediate effect.
In a letter dated December 1, sent to President Bola Tinubu, Abubakar said he was quitting on health grounds.

President Tinubu has accepted the resignation and thanked Abubakar for his services to the nation.
President Tinubu will likely inform the Senate of Badaru's successor later this week.
Badaru Abubakar, 63, was a two-term governor of Jigawa state from 2015 to 2023. He was appointed as a minister on August 21, 2023, by President Tinubu.
His resignation comes amid President Tinubu's declaration of a national security emergency, with plans to elaborate on its scope in due course.

  1. This was the clown that last week said the reason why Nigeria cannot bomb terrorists is that they hide in thick forests so bombing will not work.
This person is assumed to have at least finished primary school. He probably hasn't ever witnessed some JDAMs in action. He was totally unfit for his position.

It remains that mosquito looking weasel Matawalle.

  3. I will not be surprised if he is named as a sympathizer or sponsor of terrorism, giving his recent speech that Bombs cannot penetrate Boko Harams places in the forest.

  5. Retired generals should be the only ones mounting that office. It is a strategic office that needs strategic planning for security.

  12. Which health ground? he gave an interview to BBC hausa last week, and his ineptitude was exposed ! he actually embarrassed the presidency ;saying that bombs cannot penetrate the forest where the bandits are hiding ! He was aksed to resign ! same way Ganduje and Ngelale were asked to resign ! the new defence minister (C.D Musa) ,the immediate retired army chief ,met with the president yesterday , his name will be sent to the National assembly for confirmation.
