Speaking from captivity, she said teachers and schoolchildren have been exposed to harsh weather conditions for weeks while being held by their abductors.
In the video released and making rounds online, Mrs. Alamu also claimed the abductors have become increasingly impatient and threatened to harm one of the captives following an earlier rescue attempt.
She urged authorities and Nigerians to help secure their release before the situation worsens.
“Please help us I am calling on NUT to help us to talk to them, you don’t need force all they have to do is to negotiate with them and release us we are in the cold we are under the sun, please we are begging you,” she said.

ReplyDeleteThe same Bola Tinubu who rubbished then President Goodluck Jonathan over the Chibok girls and called for his resignation is now faced with a similar calamity. The irony is that the man he criticized was far more competent in handling it. He managed it better than what we’re seeing now. At least GEJ showed empathy. I can’t say the same for Mr. President.
A serious leader at this point should have declared a state of emergency on insecurity and tackled it head-on. But what do you expect from someone who lacks clarity and managerial skills for governance? Under GEJ, the insurgency was contained and largely restricted to the North because efforts were made to curb it. Today, the South West is becoming a major hit as the terrorists encroach.
Yet all Mr. President and his co-travellers are focused on is the 2027 election. Don’t they realize the country needs to be safe first before there can even be an election if this insurgency isn’t tackled?

Imagine men would sit amongst themselves and think up and orchestrate the abduction of innocent students and teachers creating trauma in innocent lives. Giving these children and their teachers ptsd and psychological distress that some may have to live with for the rest of their lives. Oh, men how far you have fallen. You don’t even see that the thoughts of your minds and the works of your hands are evil. You don’t even know how to rebuke the evil that whispers at first before it barks. For filthy lucre you will fall deep into the abyss and do any wickedness no matter how great to acquire. May all you wicked doers be blinded and without sight in the moment you seek to pounce on the innocent. May you all be struck down right where you are.
