Nollywood actor Bucci Franklin wants everyone with parents who are still alive to make out time for them, even if the parents are not perfect.
In a recent video clip, Bucci who lost his mum recently said: “My advice to everyone who still has a parent is this: whether your parent is useless or not, find time to reach out to them, no matter how busy you are. Celebrate them. Call them. Make them laugh.”
He spoke from personal experience and has openly talked about his tough childhood. He says his father left when he was young, and his mother raised him alone. This made life hard for him as a boy, but he has learnt to forgive and value what he has left.

Forgiveness takes time and I cannot in good faith tell some ppl to become friends with their parents, the distance protects them from emotional abuse.
ReplyDeleteNow, there are children who have neglected their parents due to selfishness or they think they are too low class, old, uneducated, or simple to come around them, stop it. The fruit cannot be better than the tree that gave it life. Stop acting as though your parents are beneath you and being ashamed of them!
You healed at your own pace, I suggest we let others heal too at their own pace.
