Another one was braces. Strangely having braces was seen as some kind of status symbol, now everyone knows you just have crooked teeth.
Sunday family hangouts. It was a big deal for me as a child. I really wanted to experience that…but my parents being Church executives were too busy every Sunday to take us to the park or those cool kiddie places.
