Are there still moin moin made like this? this was the only way then but they say its dangerous but the oly way now is only dangerous..cooking with plastic is a no no .........
I grew up eating moimoi made like this but now I use moimoi plates. They are small aluminum plates with cover. They are more healthy than nylons but moimoi leaves are the best.
Asanwa, yeah some people still make okpa like this... Opposite Teaching hospital Nnewi down to that Ojoto market by old road, they are plenty with their barrow selling.
To wash it na d!e.. we never used it in our house but I see how my friends struggle to wash it. Made me always thank God that we don't use it. Na leaf we dey use.
Those days of real moimoi, when people go to the grinding engine to ground the moimoi to be very smooth. Nowadays moimoi (even for commercial) are grinded in blenders and it makes them not smooth enough. I love my moimoi plain. If anything extra has to be in it, it should not be more than eggs. Struggling with fish bone inside moimoi is a no no for me.
I use moimoi pouch bags, but I discovered that when tou want to reuse it some are not okay while some are okay. I bought it 4k for 50 pieces. I will be trying that moimoi plates.
