According to security sources, operatives successfully neutralised an Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) cameraman, and disrupted a crucial part of the group’s propaganda machinery.
During the mission, troops recovered video materials and intelligence files that exposed the presence of three foreign facilitators embedded within the terrorist network. The materials identified a Palestinian Arab serving as a tactical trainer and a Moroccan Arab functioning as a medical doctor, both providing specialised support to ISWAP fighters. The role of the third foreign collaborator is currently under analysis by intelligence teams.
Military officials describe the discovery as “significant and deeply revealing,” noting that it confirms earlier suspicions of foreign reinforcement within the insurgency. The recovered materials are now undergoing forensic examination to support ongoing counter‑terrorism efforts in the region.
