Anambra State Police Rescue School Children Trapped In Flood
Police operatives in Anambra State on Tuesday September 22, 2026 rescued seven schoolchildren and two adults after their school bus was swept into a heavy flood along the Nibo–Isiagu Road in Awka. The bus got stuck after intense rainfall that caused severe flooding in the area.
According to reports, officers arrived quickly and pulled the trapped occupants to safety but one schoolchild was declared missing after the rescue operation.

We need to do something to this issue. All blocked drainages should be cleared and all houses built on canal based on the govt map should be taken off
