Teen Maid Rescued After Months Locked in Toilet By Her Employers

A 15-year-old girl from Ebonyi State has been rescued in Abuloma, Rivers State, after reports that her employers locked her inside a toilet for months.

The teenager, identified as Amarachi, worked as a domestic help for a couple named Eze Simeon and his wife. Reports say the couple accused her of an offence and locked her in the toilet as punishment. While confined, she faced serious neglect and was fed only once a day with leftover food.

On Monday, September 15, 2026, Amarachi managed to raise an alarm after the couple left the house. Neighbours heard her cries and quickly contacted the Abuloma Police Division. Officers arrived at the scene and freed her.

Rivers State Police Command spokesperson Agabe Blessing confirmed the incident. She said the couple is in police custody and investigations are ongoing.
Amarachi’s family has travelled to Rivers State to take her home

Some people can be very mean and heartless.

  2. Wickedness!!!

Why not give birth to the number of children you can comfortably raise and take care of? I think there should be a law punishable for parents who give out their kids for domestic work.

My belief is that this evil that Ibo women met out to other people's children is either a genetic malformation or their men have so traumatized them after buying them like prized goats that they have to transfer the trauma to innocent people.

  13. When i was growing up and had to stay with an aunt briefly. The neighbours opposite were Igbos in Makurdi in the early 90's. They punished their househelp by making her sleep outside the door till morning. Inside all those mosquitoes. Very wicked to themselves
