It calls for the reactivation of the September 2006 EFCC report prepared under Nuhu Ribadu’s leadership, and a review of the February 4, 2010 U.S. Senate report on offshore transactions linked to Atiku and his then‑wife, Jennifer Douglas Abubakar.
The earlier EFCC probe focused on the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) and related financial transfers between 2000 and 2008.
Atiku has denied any wrongdoing, insisting that the same allegations were previously examined by the EFCC, the National Assembly, and the courts none of which found him guilty.
He questioned what new evidence has emerged in 2026 to justify reopening the matter.
The EFCC has acknowledged receipt of the petition and begun preliminary review. Officials emphasize that reopening an investigation does not imply guilt, and any further action will depend on evidence and due process.

We're not surprised!
ReplyDeleteThat's has been the way of this administration.
Unless you joined them APC and become their member, that's the only way you'll become innocent.
He really wants this country to be a one party country so bad.
He's not even hiding it, so glaring to even to the blind.
Efcc his bulldogs.
Osun state incident exposed them and their master fully.
Nigerians has entered the real ONE CHANCE!!!😁😁😁
What a time to be alive. Bola Tinubu, who is fighting everything possible to prevent his drug-related files from being made public, is the same one now using the EFCC to probe Atiku. What a world!
ReplyDeleteTinubu is such a desperate politician, doing all he can to run unopposed in the 2027 election. He has seen the handwriting on the wall that he has been hugely rejected in the North; all he is aiming for now is to frustrate his opponents. Thank God Peter Obi has a clean record, otherwise this administration would have gone after him long before now.
If Tinubu had performed even 30%, he wouldn't be doing all these things at the very last minute to clinch power again. He failed woefully and has seen the rejection. I just hope his greed to remain in power won't plunge Nigeria into chaos.
Alex Otti of Abia State isn't campaigning yet, which he doesn't have to if he likes. His records speak for him. Without campaigning, he's still going to win in a landslide. That's the advantage of people who have done well in office.

You are arrogant in your ignorance TJ. Is this about Tinubu ? If you have facts about Tinubu ? If you do , there are people that would put cash down to expose him. This is about Atiku . A petition has been written with fact stated, what is wrong with that ? You think someone like Atiku should preside over the affairs of 9ija ? Think again !
DeleteCan we go into this argument? Are you willing? Where in my comment did you see me throwing support for Atiku for the presidency? One problem with you people is that you often shy away from the main focus. Atiku's case is being revisited. What happened to Godswill Akpabio's case with the EFCC? What about Orji Uzor Kalu? Ex-Gov. Okowa, Femi Fani-Kayode, etc. I can go on and on if you want me to mention more. They are all now in the APC and their files are hidden. You see how you people support selective justice or prosecution. That's why your politicians are wicked and evil to you.
DeleteWhy won't I mention the President? The buck stops at his table. Now ask yourself, why hasn't Atiku been prosecuted all along, but suddenly two months to an election? What does that tell you? Who is afraid here? I thought APC has 31 governors on their side? So why this high level of desperation and fear? It points to one thing, they have been rejected by Nigerians. You saw Wike recently in panic mode, trying to sound bold about how he'll rig the election. We are waiting to see it happen in 2027 like they did in 2023.
You saw how Bola Tinubu was pleading that releasing his drug files to the public would cause irreparable damage to him, but here in Nigeria, they are doing everything possible to stifle the opposition and destroy democracy. Not as if I am exonerating any criminal politician in Nigeria, but why dish out what you can't take yourself? That is the question here. If Mr. President is avoiding public scrutiny from an international court, what moral right does he have to prosecute anyone for corruption? Let's start from there first. I await your engagement.
Thanks.

Na this election we go know if God don abandon us true true
ReplyDelete@TJ some folks may not take your opinion on this but am fully in support of your take on how EFCC has become a tool of the president and his follow agbada men to go after who no gree fellow them
ReplyDeleteThat's just the absolute truth. Unfortunately, those who're blind to the truth or benefiting from the system will always think otherwise.
